This was a nice stop for lunch. There was a large variety of food on offer - you could dine in or take away. We were served quite quickly, the staff were friendly and the food was good.

Thank Kath D

I ordered a pie and wedges and my partner had a chicken pie and the soup of the day. The food was edible but not amazing overall. The service was poor, the woman who served us was rude and unfriendly. I would skip this one and try one of the other places in town instead.

We stopped here for a quick lunch on our way to Doubtful Sound. Decent food and coffee, but nothing really special.

Two teens, 2 adults - one verdict: avoid! Hard to get breakfasts wrong in this country, but Wapiti does. Porridge serving only 3 desert spoons full - barely a taste for such a cheap and easy dish. Egg and bacon roll served on sweet white bread, overcooked fried egg and one meagre dried up rasher of bacon, no garnish, awash with sauce. 2 x "Stacked Breakfasts" (a big ticket item on the menu) were sloshed in tasteless baked beans which even the kids didn't like, and very basic. Flat white coffees lack smoothly frothed milk and are so amateurish that they need to re-train the barrista, if there is one.

All round very poor quality food and bevearges, poorly presented, yet sold at the highest NZ cafe prices.
