We stayed for 4 magical nights and wish it was longer. If your planning to stay in Queenstown, dont. Stay here and hire a car. It's not far to drive into town and you won't regret it. All the Cottages are complete with everything you could possibly need. Full kitchen, wonderful bathroom and comfy bed. Extra pillows, hairdryer, tv, Wi-Fi, heated towel rack and heater in bathroom. Seriously the rooms are just fabulous. Then there is the scenery. Wow. All the Cottages face the beautiful mountain ranges and wineries. With an amazing outdoor area, stunning gardens there is also the bonus of the restuarant/general store/winery. Talk about heaven. I consider my self a bread and butter pudding conisuier and I think the chef here makes the best I have ever taste. Divine. All the food is brilliant. We were extra blessed that it snowed one of the days we stayed. To top it off the staff were simply fantastic and couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect especially Kevin and Paula. We will be back!

Firstly a big thank you to all the staff of this amazingly well run boutique rural cottage establishment set in the picturesque Gibbston Valley, famous for its Pinot.
The Cottages are kept impeccably clean and are spacious, warm and cosy, with modern facilities. We spent 4 nights and couldn’t fault it.
The restaurant and Cottages run by Kevin Durant and on most nights Paula who make you very welcome with big smiles and a menu to make the most fussiest diners happy. Whether it be for a wine tasting, breakfast, lunch or dinner the staff go out of there way to make your stay a pleasurable experience.
A large outside dining/wine tasting area with tables and a warm fire to add to the experience.

We stayed two nights and loved it. Rooms are clean and spacious, staff were great, views perfect and the food and wine couldn't have been better. I'm planning my next trip already... I took a photo of the view from the room we had. I also recommend a visit to Chard Farm vineyard which is close by. The drive is a bit nerve recking but worth it. Also recommend calling in to The Gibbston Tavern on a sunny afternoon.

Thank you so much for your recommendations & beautiful feedback :) Our team do their very best to ensure that your stay is memorable and we can't wait to welcome you back. We are super lucky in that each and every season is magical and brings a unique touch to the the vineyard... Also, watch this space for our very own wine!
We also appreciate your extra pointers- we love the Tavern & Chard Farm- they are both must do's in Gibbston.

Our team are super grateful for your review & we hope to see you soon,

Communication with Kinross was bad to start with, emails took multiple days to even get a response on pressing issues, but once communication started, I could not fault Kinross. Rooms were very generous in size, staff were extremely helpful, so was Phil on the Hop On, Hop Off bus... and Skye the dog!! There was even a wall mounted heater in the bathroom...such a bonus on a -1 morning. Kinross is my pick for where to stay in the Otago... oh and the Petanque court = fun :)

Room Tip: All cottages have great views, great heaters, and an impressive breakfast buffet.
