“Great Mountain Views”
Reviewed 20 June 2012

We stayed here for 3 nights, we were highly impressed. We booked a 1 bedroom and was given a 2 bedroom (one room blocked off). This place was huge. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, we were very impressed. The staff were always friendly.

We were on the 8th floor at the back and had a great view of the mountains and lake. The fireplace was heaven especially with the cold weather outside. Could have easily stayed here longer.

I have already told my family and friends where to stay in Queenstown.

We stayed here for a few nights during a tour of the northa nd south islands. The staff were fantastic, parking was included in the basement car park, it is easily within walking distance of the main town and the views are spectacular. We stayed on the first floor in a suite/apartment complete with all the mod cons inc washing machine and dryer (a godsend!) and a complimentary supply of nice wine! The views from the balcony (and the dining room) out over the water to the snow capped mountains are spectacular, you could sit all day and just look out taking in the natural beauty around you. Staff are very helpful in all aspects of your stay and more than happy to assist with the booking of trips etc. A really lovely place to stay and I would guess the views are outstanding no matter what time of year you visit! I would enthusiastically reccomend this place to anyone - you won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: Go as expensive as you can afford - the views are worth every penny!

We came to Queenstown for the first time to attend a wedding. At the suggestion of some friends we shad a 2 bedroom apartment at Peppers. Now I know that the overall experience of a good holiday can be the people you share it with - and in this case we had bucket loads of fun. But Peppers was truly a great place to stay.

Close walk to centre of town and right on edge of lake. Fantastic walks along lake front in both directions.

The apartment reminded me of ones we have stayed in ski lodges in Canada/USA. The second bedroom was a little on smallish side, must more than adequate...... We only planned to be there to sleep :)

Kitchen was fully equipped and loads of room. Big dining area and lounge with fireplace.

We had a few people up for drinks ( about 10 ) and the was heaps of room. The balcony was huge and we started outside until it got a bit cool.

Would definitely recommend. Wouldn't mind coming back in winter.

Second time here, and recommended by workmates in Australia, 2 bedroom Lakeview suite is the go. They are the ones at the front of the building nearest the lake. We have been on the 3rd floor both stays, first time by luck second by request.

The views of snowcapped mountains and lake make it worth the cost to us, which is above our usual spend. The resort location with regard to town is a plus, less than 5 mins easy walking.

Professional staff, and spotless presentation for the second time. In fact the (same at our request) apartment had been re-furnished since our last stay.

As I said earlier this is above our usual spend, but we felt we received excellent value for money.

Heating is good, but there is no aircon which might present a problem in summer.

Room Tip: 2 bedroom lakeview suite, floors 2, 3 or 4 are my pick.

My husband and I stayed here with my brother and sis-in-law who were visiting from the US. Thought we'd do Queenstown the right way!

I had neglected to request a higher apartment when I booked - make sure you do this! When we checked in for our 3 night stay, the hotel had originally put us in a 1st-floor apartment right on the road. I protested a bit, and they moved us to the 8th floor, but not without a fair bit of attitude first.

It was all worth it, though- even walking across the courtyard to get to the second building (we later discovered we could have just walked through the carpark). The apartment was HUGE, with a full kitchen, laundry, comfy couch, gas fireplace and dining table. The balcony was half the size of the lounge (again - huge) and since the hotel didn't waste energy at night (unlike the hotel next door), we could actually see the Milky Way!

The walk to town was easy and flat.

The bad? Both bedrooms got pretty hot, as there were no windows. I don't recall there being fans in the bathrooms, either. This is probably a plus during winter, but not so much in the summer months.

We would definitely stay here again - the 2 bed apt is a much better deal than two separate hotel rooms!

Room Tip: Request a high floor during booking!

Our properties are designed to be very warm, due to the Queenstown winters. Fans are available on requests.
