I stayed here for 3 nights while skiing at the remarkables. The location is great which made it so easy for us to catch the bus to the mountain each morning. The hot tub was perfect in the afternoon after a long day skiing and only a 5 minute walk to the best bars and restaurants. Service was great. Overall a very good experience.

Perfect. From the time we rang the doorbell to the time we departed. Well appointed room with an incredible view. The hot tub was absolute bliss. Breakfast was just right & so close to town. Our 2 days weren’t enough. Thank you to all as you made our stay most memorable.

Enjoyed our two nights here - had everything we skiers needed, including a hot tub. Friendly hosts, nice breakfast, comfortable bed, close to town. Did I mention the hot tub? Small, but very nicely appointed. Great hot tub too.

The Dairy has a wonderful mix of hotel and B&B feel to it, and was perfect for a few nights' stay. We had a room with balcony and view of the mountains, which is absolutely worth it. A well styled room, with plenty of space, comfortable bed and all the amenities you'd need. The personalised welcome is great, and they encourage you to make use of all the common facilities. Spa, fire in the lounge, and using the library at the end of the day were particularly great. All shared facilities, but we found other guests to be very warm and friendly as well.

Breakfast can be a little slow as they try to cook for everyone at once, so go early if you'd like to be on your way by a particular time.

It's about 50 steps down the hill into town, which is pretty reasonable given how hilly Queenstown can be.

No hesitations in recommending it, particularly if you'd like somewhere friendly, warm and convenient.

Room Tip: Get a view of the mountain!

The truth is that I was quite surprised with this hotel. All the reviews that I had read were excellent and moreover it is advertised as luxurious hotel.
So far, They failed to meet my needs and the disappointment was quite great.
Let's start with the positive aspects: well-decorated common areas (although they are rather incidental) and an excellent location.
But actually the value for price is very high.
Negative aspects to highlight:
1. Very small rooms not worthy of a boutique hotel (there is not even space to open a suitcase)
2. You do not have the freedom to have breakfast when you want, there are a few pre-established hours!! Besides I think that the owner prepares it without even putting on a hat or a net to cook. Pancakes reheated in the microwave!
3. The worst: the bathroom. Less than 40 square feet. The shower has no pressure, and you do not have a place to leave the shampoo (you have to duck all the time!)
Definitely the boutique has just that it is a very small hotel. It is not the best option in Queenstown, better go with low expectations.
