Fantastic hostel. Really friendly staff and great facilities. Bunks are well supplied with plugs, lights, pouch and under-bed storage. Lockers have plugs in them too which is brilliant for charging valuables.

Easily the best hostel I've stayed in while in Queenstown (I've been hostel hopping so quite a few). Staff were very helpful, really knowledgeable about the town and all the activities available in the surrounding areas - they also provide a booking service so you can book skydiving, bungees etc from reception. Lounge area has plenty of massive beanbags and very comfy couches, big TV with Netflix and a PS4. Free wifi and internet, comfy beds and free kitchen facilities with everything you need to cook breakfast, lunch or dinner. Staff organise activities every night so very easy to meet people if travelling alone. There's two floors, each with big balconies that have incredible views of the mountains. Each bed as plug sockets and USB slots along with a reading light, only negative was the lack of curtains on the bed which are usually a nice touch, but not a big issue. Really enjoyed my stay, will definitely go back.

I had a great stay at AQ hostel. The staff couldn't have been nicer. I opted to pay a bit more for the private room (having not hostelled for a very long time!) but still met lots of great people. Location is spot one The en suite double room was great - it even had Netflix. Also impressed with all of the common areas, kept clean and well equipped. So glad I decided to stay here instead of a hotel or guest house. Thanks to Fraser for all the advice and help booking trips. Nothing too much trouble :)

Hands-down the best hostel I have ever stayed at in one of the most beautiful places in the world. The owner has really put great thought and effort into every detail of the place including the little pouch on the wall near the bed to keep valuables. The shower was better than a 5-star hotel. Great location with great views from the balcony, fun activities, great services including free phone call home and helpful staff. Sets the standard for all hostel's around the world.

Adventure Queenstown Hostel is really the ideal hostel; this is undoubtedly aided by its location in one of New Zealand's most charming towns. This aside, the hostel combines all the elements that contribute to a hostel being rather special. The staff are helpful and mindful of the tight-budgets of their guests. The rooms are cosy and warm in the chilling South Island winter. The common rooms have a pleasant sense of community that welcome talking to others. The hostel building itself has a chalet style to it that gives a delightful mindset to the experience. I'm not usually a great fan of hostel activity evenings, but here, I found them to be well put together. All things considered, quite a set of achievements for a hostel.
