Because of the rainy weather, Joyce immediately made afire in the fireplace. And after showing us to our nice room, we sat around the fire and talked quite a while about ins and outs of New Zealand. Later on we had dinner together in Joyce's kitchen and she treated us on salad and other nice things. She tried anything to make us feel at home and she succeeded.
Breakfast the next morning was delicious. It was a pity we couldn't go for a walk in the giant garden, very well designed, because of the rain. But even the view was great.
A very pleasant place to stay.
