Stopped here one late afternoon and found a lovely, cosy, friendly pub with a fantastic selection of beers either on tap or in the bottle. The barman was incredibly knowledgeable about the drinks he was serving. Didn't get a chance to stay any longer, sadly, as I would have loved to stay on and spend a few hours longer here. Next time I intend to visit on a evening when they have a band playing.

Super fun staff with great beer knowledge! We had a great time tasting and indulging in the local beers and chatting with the staff!

We had been food shopping in the area near the northern section of the Botanic Gardens and passed the bar on the way back to our accommodation so decided to pop in - one of the smallest bars we've ever been to. Luckily we hit the jackpot with a university book launch going on inside and snaffled the last seating, right beside the window. The beer was great, we also snaffled (with our table companion, a geology Masters student) a plate of food from the launch and would have stayed longer but were exhausted. Our added bonus was that one of us is a semi-retired consulting geologist - when you get even two together the conversation can go on all evening.
