Huge, huge park full of gardens, walkways, cricket and netball courts surrounding the hospital. Plenty to do and see and also the starting point of the Christchurch Segway near the heliport. The place was packed when we walked through no doubt because of the international cricket being played between New Zealand and England. Nice.

... & were planted by The Duke Of Edinburgh in 1863. Also worth a visit is Chambers Tropical House to see the lush rainforest plantings. Both of these are near the beautiful fountain in the area closest to the city centre.
Wandering the gardens was a real treat.

We stopped in for the test match, very intimate atmosphere for and international test match. Beautiful walk through the park to get there.

We went through the park to the Oval, and our opening ceremony. It is really pretty and well kept.
It is tranquil, and a lovely green space in a city.
A lovely place to exercise, or relax.
