Next to the Art Gallery, the buildings seem to have survived the earthquake and do not show the damage of those nearby....could be just the first buildings to be rebuilt.

Sadly, some of those once beautiful buildings lie in ruins, still waiting for rebuilding and repairs.
Still, they can still be appreciated for what they once were, hoping they'd soon be restored to their original beauty.

Sadly our beautiful provincial buildings do not exist now...my visit was to pass by and look at the devastation that had occurred following the earthquakes in Christchurch. Sadly the very magnificent provincial buildings were significantly damaged. we hope there can be restoration but damage is extreme.

Collapsed in the earthquakes but ruins are still there. May be restored.
