My husband and I stayed here in April for one night and it was central to everything. Visited a couple of wineries and opposite a beautiful park which was all decorated with crosses for diggers in WWI in readiness for Anzac Day. Had a lovely meal in restaurant and a great breakfast the next morning. Rooms were comfortable and extremely clean and thanks for the little bag of complimentary fudge. Would have like a couple more days to visit a few more wineries but hopefully one day we will be back to visit. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Greetings: thanks for your feedback. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Seymour Square is directly across the road from the hotel and you get a great view of it from our hotel restaurant, Mondrians. While the gardens are gorgeous all year round, the preparations for ANZAC Day each year transform this beautiful area and it is always a touching sight to see.
Safe travels - and we hope to welcome you another time.
Warm regards, Carmel Horsley, General Manager.

Very nice hotel, huge bed if a little soft for me. Small bar and restaurant on site and parking. We did park on the street a couple times as car park full but loads of parking outside the hotel. Central for shops and visiting local wineries. Enjoyable stay.

We stayed as part of a tour group. The bed was only a double and rather worn we felt like we were falling out of bed as the springs were had it. Otherwise the room was comfortable, small but clean and everything you would need. It is close to shops and restaurants.

Hi Denise. Thanks for your feedback, which we always appreciate this so we can work on any areas of concern. We do not have any double beds: all beds are king beds, with the exception of four that are queen size beds - perhaps you were in one of these rooms? I do apologise the bed felt uncomfortable: I will have our team check those four rooms, as the feather pillow tops we have on our beds are normally well liked. I do hope you enjoyed your journey through NZ and we hope you can make it back another time.
Best wishes, Carmel Horsley, General Manager.

A hotel that challenges the four star rating. Very friendly and efficient staff, good accomodation with the odd quirky bit like the the tummy rumbling sound from the toilet water cistern and really good food well presented in the restaurant.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is an older hotel, with some pretty funky popcorn ceiling on the walls ... lol. However, we were very impressed by the room. It was very spacious and nicely refurbished. The bathroom was pretty small but had a nice shower. It was located in downtown Benheim beside the park and within walking distance to the shops. There was unlimited internet, which we found out is a rare treat in New Zealand.

Hi there! Thanks for your feedback. I love your description of popcorn ceilings! You are right, we are a child of the 70's, but had a thorough yet timeless refurbishment a few years ago ensuring our rooms and facilities are modern and up to today's standards. Centrally located and with free unlimited internet, we are so glad we met your needs and hope you can make it back another time.
Best wishes,
Carmel Horsley, General Manager
