I particularly wanted to stay in this cottage in Tonks Grove as I had lived in Tonks Avenue maybe 60 years ago. It did not disappoint as although the house was a different one it was great to be back in the area. Cuba Street is an extremely interesting historic part of Wellington and has every restaurant you could possibly want. The cottage is situated just off Cuba Street which reduces any noise there ma be from the street itself. It was good to arrive on a rainy Wellington evening and find the heater on, definitely made us feel welcome. Everything in the accommodation was neat and clean, the bed linen was of a good quality and the shower worked fine. Cookies in a jar, tea, coffee, what more could you want! I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to be conveniently placed for all that central Wellington has to offer. We would have liked to stay longer but it was all booked up unfortunately - maybe next time!
