“Very good stay - good location”
Reviewed 10 July 2012

We just needed a night's accommodation near where we were to attend a 50th birthday party. This fitted the bill perfectly. We had room 4 - a room with disabled access (shower facilities).
Found it very fast once we came off the motorway. Carpark was not too hard to get into and manager gave us a tip about where to park. Our room was not quite ready but we only had to wait 10 mins. Manager saw my father was in a wheelchair and offered to take up the rug in the room in case it made it harder to get around, while this was not needed I thought it was a nice offer anyway. He also offered the use of a trolley for luggage but we didn't need to as only had small bags. He gave us directions to where the venue of our party was which was within walking distance. Loads of places to eat nearby. Room warm and spacious. We were on the opposite side from the motorway so did not hear any traffic noise. Would happily return here again and will recommend it to friends wishing to stay in the area!

Room Tip: Room 4 disabled access room - very nice and spacious.

I stayed in Room #33 for a few nights and it was a lovely stay. I didn't have a car which was fine because the hotel was only about a 5 minute walk to the railway station and bus stop. The bus leaves every 5-10 minutes during peak times. My room was clean and well equipped with cooking facilities, hair dryer etc... Well set up to cook your own meals or eat in the room. Surrounding the hotel are loads of options for eating as well as 2 large supermarkets. I'd definitely stay here again.

South Australia Police Soccer Team stayed at the hotel Best Western Wellington (Johnsonville) whilst competing in the Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games held at Lower Hutt. The hotel was ideally placed with all services within walking distance including supermarket and other specialty shops. Train station was within 5 minutes walk. The rooms were adequate, the service provided particularly in regard to the laundering of sports clothing was much appreciated and there helpful. Ferdi

The Motel was tucked away in the northern corner of Johnsonville, about 15 minutes drive to Wellington and the Hutt Valley. The Managers, Mark and Helen were extremly helpful and accomodating and went out of their way to assist us. The rooms were tidy and well kept and attended to daily by house service. Breakfast was delivered to our room daily at the time we requested. The Motel was affordable and although ammenities were standard the overall experience was excellent. Johnsonville has a large supermarket and many takeaway outlets and two hotels, both of which offered meal deals. Johnsonvile was a great location for our needs and I would recommend it to other travellers looking for an affordable, comfortable premises.

Room Tip: Soom rooms are a little larger. Ask to have a look if you attend.

Location is perfect, just one-two blocks away from closest bus stops to take you to view point or city center. It's not far to walk either, on the coastline. Studio room was just perfect with a nice balcony with view. Staff was very helpful, also a small pool for children. Nice continental-style breakfast. Could have stayed more than one night!

Room Tip: I had a studio room in one of the highest floors. Very nice.
