A nice city hotel without spectacular views, conveniently located, the waterfront and sights all in walking distance. The room was relatively small, the windows don‘t open. The Air condition worked just fine though.
The bathroom was nice and spacious enough.
The breakfast buffet was nothing to write home about but good, although a bit pricey if not included in the room rate.

We stayed here at each end of our NZ holiday. The hotel is in the centre of Wellington a stone’s throw from Parliament with a short walk down the hill to the main shopping district and waterfront with a longer walk to Te Papa (the National Museum). Excellent accommodation with comfortable beds and a good bathroom. Tea and coffee making (pods) in the room. Multiple TV channels. Friendly and efficient concierge staff. The restaurant Jardin Grill is excellent. A la carte cooked breakfast with continental buffet style if desired. A good night time menu with the best pork belly I have ever eaten. As with all Sofitels upmarket so not cheap but very good value (especially with an Accor Advantage Plus card).

100% perfect in every way. Stayed for our honeymoon, easily one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. Exceptional service, a la carte breakfast divine. Beautiful hotel & excellent amenities. Didn't want to leave.

Great hotel in a great location. The staff were excellent and the dining experience was of a high standard. There is no hotel parking but valet parking is available at a cost of $40. We were a party of 3 in a twin room with a extra foldaway bed which limited the space in the room, but otherwise was ok.

Excellent service on arrival conceirge was right there to park my car and take me through to reception. Atmosphere and attidude of staff at reception very professional and friendly. My room was on the 9th floor and had good view of the city. Facilities in the room all functioned well very clean and comfortable bed. Very nice bathroom with quality complimentary shampoos etc. Towels were quite large and the bath robes were quite thick and comfortable. Very impressed with turndown service supplying herbal tea bag with teacup plus also a few chocolates and complimentary bottles of water well done indeed. I had received a complimentary voucher for a drink at the bar so went down to have a barmeal as well. Unfortunately this was a blip for me as the barmeal of fish and chips was soggy batter and the fries were also limp plus a small leaf for salad this is a high star hotel and needs to do better with barmeal quality. I went down to the main restaurant for breakfast and couldnt fault it very good array of food and juices well done here. Big plaudits on departure my car was returned to me and to my surprise had 2 complimentary bottles of water supplied in it excellent. Overall a well located hotel very clean and comfortable I would stay here again and recommend to others. Joe

Room Tip: I was on the 9th floor which gave good views of the city and was a really quiet floor with no elevator noise.
