We got room 24 which was the Executive Suite, the whole upper corner. It was amazing, with 180° views of the lake, volcanoes and surrounding hills.

The deck afforded a very enjoyable view of the sunsets and due to it being a large corner deck, you could sit either side to shelter from the winds. There is just enough traffic passing to sit and watch the world go by without being too noisy and invasive.

The living room was large with a fantastic sofa and large spa. The bathroom was lovely, the bedroom was lovely. The super-king bed was a little squeaky but very comfortable. I loved the red carpeting.

One small suggestion - a CD player/stereo would be great. We used the clock radio for music but would've preferred a CD player.

Overall a very enjoyable, relaxing place to stay, close to town with fantastic views and we would definitely stay in this room again.

Very friendly welcoming, helping hand with luggage, friendly talk, very interested to sell Taupo without being pushy - we have done most of the activities recommended - the friendly hosts had a goodselection of recommendations for restaurants and we were very pleased with all. Our 3 night stay with the spa unit was excellent - cleaning service is more than great.. This is a place to go back to and tell your friends about. My wife really had a surprise Birthday and left her lipsticks on the owners cheek - hope he is not in trouble.

Room Tip: The spa room was better than good excellent - the units were very well filled - all guets looked very happy and relaxed.

From the moment we stepped onto the property we were greeted with a friendly face. The male gentleman was super friendly and welcoming.

The room was big, clean and warm. The spa was soooo good!!!. The bed was comfy, bathroom clean and had a nice view from the balcony.

Would highly recommend

Had a spa unit, booked at short notice. Always lovely staying here, friendly staff and know their town and facilities.
Units always spik and span, we have stayed here intermittingly over a number of years and never disappointed.
Within easy walking distance of town

Room Tip: Ask for a spa unit

we checked in, a party of 4 (2 couples) we were greeted by Bruce the proprietor as it was his turn on the day of the staff Christmas barbecue. We were shown to our adjoining rooms presented with our milk and shown how all of the appliances work, heating, TV with a zillion channels. The room is big with generous windows allowing a fabulous view over he Lake and access to a small deck. It was hazy so we did ot see the mountains, but from experience I know that it is spectacular on a clear day. The road runs past the lake view side but that was not a problem for us as the traffic was light and in the main quiet

Room Tip: if you are sensitive to noise ask for a room facing the central space. Otherwise the roadside rooms have spectacular views.
