Only stayed for one night but room and service was excellent. Superb bed, spacious room, good shower and quiet despite our room being next to a busy street. Motel owners rang us immediately after we left as we forgot something which the kids would have missed dearly. Room was also very clean so overall a very comfortable stay.

Stopped here while passing through, Great place clean and friendly. View of Mount Egmont outside and what a sight.
Great place and a great town.
Area outside for a couple to seat, Flatscreen tv spa bath

Very central. You can easily walk into town and to the sea front where you can walk for miles. We only had a studio room but there were some lovely touches given by the owners. On arrival we were given a warm muffin to eat. there was fly spray for any unwanted flies but we didn't need to use this (i guess it would be used more in summer). Also with the toiletries in the bathroom was some toilet spray. thoughtful.
There spa bath was great and plenty of hot water. It is far enough away from pubs to not have noise from there. There are 3 supermarkets only the road adjacent so you can easily buy any necessities. We would stay here again. Free unlimited wifi also and 50 channels of sky for those who just want to rest. Bikes for guests to use free.
the only negative was the bed was really springy and soft.

I drove my mother 89, and her sister 80, from Hamilton to New Plymouth to celebrate their sister,s Diamond Wedding Anniversary. My mum is confined to a wheel chair and this motel has great accessible facilities. Probably the best we have stayed in to date. The unit has two bedrooms with open shower/bathroom. The toilet is raised as well. Roomy and even the light switches are placed lower for easy access from the wheel chair. Proprietor was very friendly and we got warm muffins on arrival. If you are looking for a good accessible unit in New Plymouth this it. Close to CBD and supermarket.

Room Tip: Spacious rooms.

Just spent 4 days at this fabulous little motel. It had all the ammenities we needed, cooking facilities, washing facilities, close to town and very friendly and helpful owners. Would highly recommend it to anyone staying in New Plymouth,
