“Perfect self catering apartment”
Reviewed 26 December 2014 for a stay in December 2014

2nd visit and just great to find an apartment with everything needed for a break away from home ie full kitchen with oven dishwasher, fridge freezer etc. Perfect for that longer holiday too. Private and peaceful setting beside the lake. No sulphur smells thank goodness! Glendyr and Mike allow you to relax and are totally non intrusive but helpful if needed. Air con to keep the apartment cool in summer and warm in winter. Will return again for sure. Many thanks.

“All the comforts of home!”
Reviewed 1 December 2014 for a stay in November 2014

We were fortunate enough to spend 5 nights at Tui Glen and wished we could have stayed more. Glendyr has thought of everything to make this a home away from home. It was spacious, airy and bright and we lacked for nothing. We thoroughly enjoyed the dog, cat, ducklings, black swans and birds that we could hang out with. We made full use of the bikes, and the kayaks were there if we had had the time. There is so much to see and do in Rotorua we couldn't fit it all in. The property is stunning with brightly colored shrubs and flowers everywhere. Tui Glen is right on the lake, and like it advertised, away from the sulphur smells. The view was amazing and we were treated to a big beautiful double rainbow over it.
This definitely is a place we would return to. Glendyr made us feel welcome and was always so accommodating and gracious! Thank you Glendyr!

“Comfortable stay at Tui Glen”

We stayed at Tui Glen Luxury Apartment for four nights in October 2014. We found the directions to access apartment worked perfectly and our GPS easily found the address. The apartment was very spacious for the two of us. It was very clean, comfortable and quiet. There was enough equipment in the kitchen to allow to cook all our meals. The shared laundry was great too with the option of the dryer or an out door clothes line.

The apartment is within walking distance of a shopping centre where you can pick up groceries. It's not too far to from Rotorua if you require a greater selection of groceries.

It's also away from the sulphur smells of Rotorua.

We enjoyed our very comfortable stay at this apartment.

“Rotoruas Best Kept Little Secret”
Reviewed 25 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

This is not the first stay at Tui Glen for my husband and I. We have stayed here many times and just keep coming back because not only is it in a quiet location with more than obliging owners Glendyr and Mike making us feel more than at home, it is away from the bustle and sulphuric smells of Rotorua but just a short drive to all the thrills and fantastic sightseeing that Ngongotaha has to offer from the beautiful Rainbow Springs to the thrills and adrenaline adventures of Zorb Balling, Gondola and Ludge rides and a short walk or drive into Ngongotaha township for groceries, Kiwibank, Cafes, Liquor outlets, Video Hire, Chemist, Hardware and takeaways.
Tui Glen is a luxury accommodation above the main house, (which fronts onto beautiful Lake Rotorua) Accessed via the garage with a stair well up to the apartment.
There are 2 beautifully appointed bedrooms, both with queensized beds and snuggly warm electric blankets to combat the chills of winter. The kitchen is well equipped with oven, rangehood, cooktop, microwave oven, and fridge freezer. The bathroom has a shower only with toilet and handbasin. The main living area boasts 2 luxurious leather couches with warm throws and colourful cushions together with a reclining leather swivel chair which has its own small wooden table attached for that glass of red or sauvignon blanc to rest upon.
Facilities include the use of bikes or kayaks for a trip across the lake, free Wi-Fi, Sky TV, Lakefront Spa, Swimming Pool (mid October to end of April) and last but not least, good old fashioned hospitality. If you need anything they are more than obliging to help you out.

“Lake side setting in private apartment.”

The 2 bedroomed self catering apartment is an additional annex to the main house which allows privacy and flexibility. Check in from midday allowed. All mod cons plus full size oven and fridge freezer and dishwasher. Comfortable furnishings and modern bathroom shower enclosure and fittings. The two bedrooms provide good storage and extremely comfortable mattresses for a great nights sleep. Laundry access ( tumble dryer and an outside clothes line) Access to swimming pool (heated) and spa pool which face the lake. Lots to do in local area so ideal base but peaceful and tranquil to enjoy the lovely surroundings. Ducks on the lawn too! Plus an aviary. A friendly quiet lovely dog and cats ( no access to apartment and those who dislike animals shouldn't be discouraged to stay here) The house is the furthest down the lane nearest the lake. Would recommend for those looking for a great holiday apartment with excellent self catering facilities.
