We had a ground floor room. Perfect for our needs. Friendly staff, clean room, daily housekeeping free wifi. Guest laundry, coin operated. One of many motels along the beach front. Reasonably priced. Adequate car parking, a bit squeezy so best for smaller cars.
Not too far to walk to center of town, supermarkets and most attractions. Fish and chips around the corner. Children's play area across the road near the beach. Highly recommended.

Room tip: Up for views, down for easier access.

Got ourselves a ground floor room which opens into a common spa pool. Very clean and comfortable with ample space for breakfast either in the room or at the patio. Hardly any loud road noise because of courtesy zone. Just a short 10minute walk and you are at the heart of the town, with Countdown and PaknSave hypermarkets all within walking distance so you can just leave the car at the hotel. Great location to be the first to see the sunrise right from your room or just cross the road to the beach.

Room tip: If you want to catch the sunrise from your room, the second floor might be better

Hello Sue2416.
Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed our location to all parts of town.
Yes, the road is quite at night time and the sunrise on most days is really something else.
Cheers Roy

We very much enjoyed our couple of nights at the Edgewater Motor Lodge. Upgraded to a larger room on arrival, we found the room to be slightly older, but very comfortable, with full kitchen facilities.
Views over the ocean were a bonus, as was a firm comfortable bed.

No hesitation in recommending this motel.

Booked a small room, it was clean and tidy in a great location right across from the water. Good views and a little balcony area with table and chairs. Surprisingly not noisy considering that the main road was straight out the front. Managers helpful as well

Pleasant place to stay, next to the amazing Marine Parade, near shops and restaurants. Clean and comfy, but small rooms - sleeping space only in our unit. Swimming pool is really a plunge pool only, and right outside a couple of units. We felt we couldn't use it. Parking is also tight, especially if you have a SUV or bigger. Top tip: upstairs units have good views - see if there are any larger units available if staying for longer than a night or two.

Room tip: Top floor is better

Hello Neil R. Thanks for your review and we are glad that you enjoyed our location and views. The room you booked is our smallest room and is priced accordingly and we do have larger units available. Some of our car parks are small if you have a SUV. Our car parks were mapped out before SUVs were around. There is plenty of on street parking
around the building if you were to find you couldn't get in a park. You are right the pool is just a plunge pool as is advertised as such. It is available for all guests to use.

Roy
