A lively 90 year old and her family visited Ali's trattoria many times earlier and always enjoyed food and ambience. So decided to host 22 people of all ages and all noisy for her 90th. Ali, the owner, organised every thing (down to specially made tiramisu) and accommodated many special requests.. Guests complimented the quality of meals, the timing for delivery and fun atmosphere. The family relatives want to return for other celebrations.

We live close by and this is our go-to local. Great atmosphere and divine food. We have eaten here many times now and the food is always great. We've never been disappointed. I try something new pretty regularly but my husband is addicted to the spaghetti bolognaise and has this almost every time.

We ate here to celebrate a mid week birthday, having not eaten at this restaurant for a number of years. The wait staff assigned to our table was pleasant enough. We ordered garlic bread to start with then mains for each of our group of four.

The garlic bread had an unusual taste so we eventually pointed this out to the Waitress and suggested that she try a piece, which she declined to do, saying that she would point this out to the owner who was wandering around but not in a way which suggested any particular interest in the customers.

Our mains then eventually followed. One of our group ordered a piza which he described as being completely tasteless while the other meals were okay. When we came to pay we asked again about the garlic bread, enquiring as to whether they had tasted it to see if they had a view on the taste but got told that thye hadnt and that we would need to tak to the owner. The owner was no where to be seen so we gave our feedback to one of the wait staff on the way out.
It was hard to think of too many reasons why we would want to rush back to this restaurant in a hurry.

We came here for a birthday celebration meal having visited numerous times previously and experiencing great food and service. This time we felt very let down. I had tried to call on a Monday to book a quiet table for that Thursday and left a message as requested. No-one had returned my call by Wednesday afternoon so I rang again and this time spoke to someone and repeated my request - not a problem I was told! We arrived on the Thursday only to be able to get a table in the main body of the restaurant as the 'quiet table' had already been booked! Waitress was very pleasant but we felt that she was at the extreme of her ability to deal with a half full restaurant virtually single handed - hats off to her for keeping her cool and a smile on her face. Our first course food did take quite a while to arrive but were reasonable. Our main courses were not so good. One, the chicken Marsala was ok but relatively underwhelming considering it was a 'chefs special' The Margherita pizza on the other hand was terrible and a supermarket bought frozen pizza would have put it to shame! There was not a trace of a real tomato on it and the cheese on it was greasy and it tasted bland. All in all a below average meal, saved by the attitude of the waitress
