Hotel was ok, nice people on the desk, rooms are adequate for the price. Close to parks and walks with around 15 min walk to Parnell main restaurant area. Avoid room 217! Underneath the kitchen co early morning wake up at 7am.

Room tip: Avoid room 217!

This nice little hotel is right across the street from a beautiful rose garden with easy walking paths to the water. Short walk to good restaurants and shops. While the hotel is a bit dated, it is clean and comfortable. Can have adjoining rooms ( good for family and friends) and the rooms have lots of cups, beer and wine glasses.

This was the second time I’d stayed in just over a year and this time, I had a much better room. The first time I’d stayed, my husband and I had an economy room, which was a very small room on a lower floor. This time I stayed with my sister in a double queen room on the third floor and it was much quieter and much more spacious. The location is ideal, with a bus stop right outside the hotel.

The reception was friendly, fast and professional. Lovely views over the rose gardens.

Strangely enough, although the hotel’s website guarantees the lowest prices, it was much cheaper booking through booking.com.

To us, this was a 2-3 star motel property. The people were nice. The rooms were small but clean. The location is great is you want a neighbourhood locale with easy access to Parnell.

The beds and furniture are tired. The bathroom were renovated but in a very awkward and partial manner. We were in a ground floor unit with no view and road noise.

My complaint is against the owners. With just a bit more support and effort, the motel could be a modest but comfortable 3-4 star hotel.

Others seemed to enjoy it. Just was not for us.

We stayed here at the beginning of our three week trip around New Zealand.
Positive comments:
There’s plenty of free parking - great for road trippers. The bed in our room was very comfortable & the room had everything we needed for our three night stay including a great selection of teas. If you’re prepared for a leisurely ten minute walk, you can soon reach Parnell Road, where there are loads of places to eat.
Not so positive: WiFi is restricted to only 72 hours free. No cushions provided for the wooden loungers around the pool meant it was more like torture sitting on them than relaxation.
If we came back to Auckland, would we stay here again? Probably not, but the hotel was good enough for our requirements.

Thank you for your feedback, Yes, our location, comfy beds, free parking and clean rooms are certainly a huge asset and we are very lucky indeed. With reference to the Wi-Fi Connection - 72 Hrs is a just a default timer, You can log back in again once you run out of 72 hrs.

Have a nice day, Kind regards
