After 26 hours of flying, we arrived around 1am to be greeted by staff member at the lobby. He politely explained there would be some electrical outages due to some essential maintenance work during the night and then personally walked us to our room after we were done checking in which was appreciated.
We slept really well here despite having a room on the city side and being right opposite the lifts.
My suggestions for improvement revolve mainly around breakfast: the spread was slightly disappointing in that some of the 'hot' food was lukewarm or cold despite being on hotplates. Other hotels manage to make this work so I'd hope the grand mercure can improve this. Additionally, it was quite easy to mix up tongs/spoons for meat and non meat dishes, so some better labelling or separation wouldn't go amiss. We would also have also appreciated some more warm/hot vegan options for breakfast.
Apart from the comment about breakfast I have no complaints and can recommend staying here.More
