Loved the central CBD location twinned with some of the quietest rooms we have ever stayed in. The quality of all service and fittings was outstanding. We were on 6th floor with view of Waitemata - beautiful. King bed was super-comfy and all linens etc. of high quality.
Minor quibbles were: the rooms are pretty compact, as is storage
Although there is a fitness centre - there's no pool/jacuzzi or anything aquatic
Rooms are showers only - even though they are very glamorous ones - I would love a bath option in some!
For the price, I'd expect a few more complimentary things - 1 plunger sachet and around 150 ml milk/day were not enough. Mini bar prices were very high and the mini-fridge was packed. Maybe leave some space for visitors to put in their own things?

We stayed in the Britomart Hotel recently and had a lovely time, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the room, which was an ocean front, was well set up for our stay. The hotel is very central to down town Auckland, Britomart and the Viaduct.

Room tip: rooms with a water view are nice

We had two adjoining rooms for our stay.
They were lovely rooms with a pretty view over Britomart and the laneway into Kingi.
Well appointed shower rooms and comfy beds.
Great location.
Loved the guests only Library Bar.

Everything was amazing apart from the “view” in the room. We had to climb on and lean over the back of the couch to look out a window. Hopefully it is just a case of us getting the worst room in the Hotel rather than it being the norm for the City View

Room tip: If you are going to be happy with a City Room ask them for one with a window that you can see when you walk in the room.
