A group of friends headed to Il Ciao on a very busy Friday night and we were glad we had pre booked as the queues were out the door and the restaurant was very noisy.
Our shared pizza's and garlic bread was delivered promptly to the table and were delicious as usual.
We had to wait well over an hour for our mains, most were enjoyed but bothe the specials were dissappointing, the crab pasta was dry and the veal was not tender at all.
All in all an enjoyable night.

About 16 of us booked in to have dinner at Il Ciao for a family birthday.

Ordered some pizzas and an il ciao tasting plate for starters.
Mains everyone ordered a different type of pasta.
The service was really quick considering the size of our group and the others in the restaurant.
The pizzas came out hot and very nice.

The mains were brought out shortly after the removal of the empty pizza plates.

The food was fantastic, no complaints from our table!

We've been there several times in the past, smaller sizes, but this place always delivers.
Great food and service each and every time!

Highly recommend it to anyone.

We were brought here by our family who were staying in Perth. Simple, small and modest eatery selling great Italian food. We waited about 20-30 mins for a table of 7. Try the chilli mussels (it's a huge portion that is enough for 7) and the Penne alla Vodka. Slightly pricey for the ambience and portions though, but really good taste.

this is the hardest decision that i made, to give a one star for il ciao, but i feel better knowing that more people would be aware when they read my review. il ciao WAS my must-visit restaurant everytime i make a trip to Perth because of their delicious meal. but not recently, i am shocked why businesses always fall for cost savings and profit maximising over the good old tradition of keeping a superior standard.

ingredients were definitely not fresh, i am sad why they cut corner and start having premade dough just to speed up meal preparation. customers, most of them i believe, wouldnt mind to wait the extra 15 minutes if we could get a better meal, it seems maybe il ciao doesnt like this idea. the gnocchi that we had apparently was too rushed to be made and the sauce was too sour.

im not sure i will ever come back again, i might as well try different italian restaurants that are well available all over Perth.

Never fails to impress with the menu! A lot of the dishes remain the same and as good as always with changes to the menu made for specials etc. The food is outstanding and we always love going for dinner. It is constantly busy which always provides a reassurance that the food is good! Although it can get busy they are always moving diligently to get you seated at a table and serve food and you are never left waiting long. Family run so you can tell they care a lot about what they do and customer service provided is outstanding. A small bonus is that if you don’t finish your meal you can take the leftovers with you! Highly recommend!!
