Bring bug spray as there are sand flies. The presentation is decent and the boat ride is relaxing although we didn't see much at all. Then again I'm not sure how much I expected from a pearl farm but from the reviews we were expecting something...more? I didn't know Australian pearls were so expensive either! All the freshwater cheaper stuff is from China

Thank you for your feedback. We do try to ensure that there is always complimentary bug spray available to all guests on our tour. However due to the remote location of the Pearl Farm we cannot control the environmental factors such as sandflies. We are glad you enjoyed the Gazebo presentation. With regards to the boat tour, again we cannot control the environment and therefore spotting a crocodile or wildlife is luck of the draw on the day. We price our Australian South Sea Cultured Pearls based on the local market prices. The content of the tour relays why the pearls are valued so highly as a luxury jewellery item. We stock Freshwater pearls from China to cater for all budgets of people doing the tour. Thank you again for your feedback and we are sorry the tour did not meet your expectations.

We joined the tour, and I was the guest chosen to remove the pearl from the oyster. It was a huge pearl and we arranged to buy it, so it now hangs from my wife's lovely neck!

We did the tour and found it very interesting. We drove ourselves and found it an easy drive although I would wonder what it would be like once the 'wet' hits. The boat trip was really fascinating with our guides involving everyone on board. The damper was tasty and the 'classroom' lecture very informative. It was certainly value for money in my opinion. It was nice to be shown the merchandise at the conclusion of the tour without the 'hard sell' that you sometimes get on these tours.
All in all a pretty interesting way to spend a few hours in Broome.

Thank Kolanda

Been two years in a row. Basically the same tour but this year a bit more polished. We drive ourselves in a rented small 4WD - no problem. do the tour and stay and buy some lunch and truly enjoy the scenery. The lunch menu is very limited = but if you did the tour you are pretty full from a nice morning tea. The tour is very informative and you can purchase pearl jewellery on site - no cheaper than town but an excellent selection.
