“Opportunity to learn about Australian migration history”
Reviewed 27 April 2012

This is a unique museum and well laid out. It is an opportunity for both young and old to get a handle on Australian migration, old and new. There are many things to keep children interested as well as learning new things. There is a fountain outside and a restaurant.
Worth spending some time here.

“Facinating”
Reviewed 25 April 2012

There was an exhibition about children who were sent to Australia from the UK. Very interersting and moving. The building is the old customs house and has some interesting exhibits.

“Inspirational stories”
Reviewed 24 April 2012

Stories about ordinary people are always interesting but stories about people who have migrated to Australia are fascinating. Great set up and wonderful displays. The memorial garden is especially moving.

“Captivating and worth an afternoon”
Reviewed 24 April 2012

This is an incredible museum! We spent a couple of hours learning so much about the immigrant experience. There was an exhibit about orphan children from Great Britain being sent to Australia that was captivation and heartbreaking. The exhibits and movies were very informative about a subject that we've seen so little about elsewhere.
