My friends and I went for the 2 day Great Ocean Road and Phillip Island tour on the 15 March 2012 and it was simply fabulous. Every stop was scenic and the views breathtaking. Our tour guide Patrick was amazing and very informative. I think the time given at each stop was enough for us to walk around and also take photographs. I honestly think that the great ocean road should not be done in one day. The two day trip was not too much of a rush and the ferry ride from Queenscliff to Mornington was a good experience. This tour was well planned and we got to see the many different wildlife as well as amazing sights of Australia. I would highly recommend this tour to all the budget travelers. The only snag was that the YHA (Lorne) where we stayed did not have wireless broadband service. This is rather disappointing especially for a country like Australia. Other than that, well done Patrick and Wildlife Tours Australia.

My friend and I booked the one day tour of The Great Ocean Road after investigating hire cars and finding the tour to work out cheaper. (Although it was cheaper to book through an agent rather than directly with the company)

It is a very long day - 13 hours of travel. And there is a lot to see in a short period of time. That is all part of a day tour. If you don't want to be rushed, then do it yourself over a few days. There were points when my friend and I were running around to make the most of the time provided, especially at the Aspostles as we booked the helicopter flight too.

But our driver/guide Craig was fantastic and really made the trip! He entertained us for the entire journey, matching music to weather/attractions, even immitating koalas! He was very friendly, 100% of the time. We even watched other driver (from a different company) yell at members of his group as they were late.

We picked this company over others as it did include lunch and was the same price as other companies. There were a few options to choose from and considering the restaurant had to make over 80 meals (there were 4 buses on the day we went) in about 45 mins, the meals were pretty good.

Very enjoyable day visiting many places on the way to see the little penguins arrive home in the evening to their burrows. 20 seater mini bus, they pickup & drop off at your accommodation. The driver/guide was very good and helped make the day a good one. Very good value for money. Only have to buy your lunch. Dinner included

Penguin Parade is a must see it is by far one of the most memorable things you will see. The tour was great for all fitness abilities and was fun and interesting. Seeing the bats sleeping in the trees was another amazing site.

We booked the Wildlife tours for the Great Ocean Ride. We were told to expect no frills and luxuries like a higher bus, reclining seats, toilet on board, etc. Every bit was correct. But it didn't matter. The scenery is so awesome that it keeps you on the edge of the seat and the seats are comfy even if non-reclining. And there are enough stops and breaks so the toilet doesn't matter. We were also lucky to have a tour guide like Campbell who made the tour even more fun and interesting. He was a fount of info, insights, anecdotes, jokes and the entire day tour passed off in a jiffy. A thumbs up to Wildlife Tours and Campbell.
