Lunch for 6. Arrived at noon as ' no reservations'. Left at 4pm. Sated, satisfied. Many shared dishes, but the Ortiz Anchovies from the tin, accompanied by wonderful smokey toast and house paprika, were so good we ordered more. Charcuterie platter was excellent and included some wonderful Wagyu Bressaola. Main courses included soft shell crabs, which were just crunchy enough to be interesting. But we had an absolute ball sharing the slow roasted Lamb shoulder, which had been cooked for hours 'Sous Vide' and then finished on the BBQ/Grill. Soft meat fell from the bone but had a wonderful char on the outside.
Wine list is comprehensive. Some well priced wines, but the list does include some more expensive bottles.....with the William Downie Pinot at $130 which I thought was a bit steep, but I guess a normal mark-up for Melbourne nowadays. Service was excellent. Attentive, Fast, Friendly and (apologies) very good looking.
