Having moved to the area I wanted to find somewhere with a view of the region - My Samaria provided that. The drive up slippery red dirt roads in autumn isn't for your standard cars but was manageable in a 4wd vehicle (Subaru wagon in my case). A short walk from near the top takes you to the peak where there are 360 degree views. Some great trees, ant hills, lots of different birds, and giant root systems of fallen trees to see along the way. A relatively gentle walk too. A good little half day trip from Any town in the area (Benalla, Wangaratta, Euroa, Swanpool). There are also a number of other walks in the park which I hope to do over he next few months.
