We were very happy with the Princes Lodge Motel. It is a grand old house that has been split into nice rooms, each with its own bathroom. The rooms are fairly spacious. The breakfast room is very nice and the breakfast is generous with a good choice of cereals plus juices, spreads and tea or coffee. The wifi is good, and there is a big parking area behind that is hidden from the street. Free public transport into central Adelaide is very close.

My only criticism is that the shower produces a rather weak stream of water that varies in temperature from moment to moment. Apart from that, the motel ticks all the boxes for me.

Well situated on main free bus route, this motel is great value for money. A bit dated in decor and facilities, but with free parking and a reasonable price who can complain?
The service is good and with a continental breakfast included this is a real gem.
Friendly front of house staff with good advice and local knowledge.
The room I had was clean and had everything you need for a good nights sleep, with access direct on to car parking area.
For the price - very good

Room Tip: Large old house with garden rooms, so something for everyone

We booked a family room during the week. Very quiet and comfortable. The room was very spacious, great shower, towels, TV, etc. Self-serve continental breakfast in the breakfast room. Negatives - no hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner. Excellent location and price. Will stay here again.

Enjoyable stay with views from balcony of Rosella birds moving around rose garden. Host Andrew and David helpful and friendly with free bus stop a short walk to access city. We attended footy at Adelaide oval and were able to walk to and from due to close location of ground to motel.

Room Tip: Upstairs deluxe room was acceptable to our needs

Looks tired, but is just a proud old home that is now a quiet, very welcoming and peaceful place to stay. Mein hosts, Andrew and David, are very gentlemanly,
The atmosphere is almost Victorian grace, building looks tired, but that's a graceful 'tired'.
We had the room immediately inside the front door, was a little noisy at times, but with 10 foot ceiling and some older fittings it added a certain pleasure and was somewhat more comfortable than modern plastic finish places. It appears as though they boys are doing the place up, bit by bit, no noise but of interest to retired diy-ers. There is a small library/reading area at the top of the stairs, a very elegant stairway also.
Park across the road, children's playground across the road, 100 metres to free bus in and out of town centre. It's a nice gentle 40 min stroll into the Rundell mall, and worth the effort. At 74 yo I found it very interesting. A light breakfast is included and if you're staying over the weekend ask the gents about their Sunday market stall; had breakfast there and it was very good especially in the sun. It is a tad far out of town, but worth the trip.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper the front room may not be best, although it does have bathroom, kitchenette included
