From the time we were met at the airport everything was handled so efficiently. We had a first floor beachfront room 215 which was well laid out and had everything needed. Even a magnifying mirror was provided when requested. My only reservation about this room was that the adjoining room to the right jutted out a further 10ft blocking out some views and we had no sun on the balcony. Minor concern to us as I cannot sit in the sun except for maybe an hour a day.
Breakfast was good generally but a few thoughts on this.
The grapes were on a large bunch and there were no scissors to cut a few off. Therefor they were being handled by all and sundry. Secondly there really should be a separate butter knife as part of the table setting. Probably of little interest to anybody but using a knife which has been used to cut eggs etc and using it again to spread butter seems silly. And yes I know we could have asked...that is not the point.
We had a fabulous time at the Beach Club and the transportation system around the island works well. The staff are great and we would return.

Hello brian_uk12000,

Thank you for reviewing your stay with us at Beach Club on Hamilton Island. I’m glad that we were able to live up to your expectations and it’s so great to hear that you want to return to stay with us again.

Thanks for your suggestions regarding breakfast at Beach Club. The grapes are now more user friendly!
I did track down your cruise ship passenger, they should be sending you a note soon.
I hope 2013 is a great year for you filled with more travel and relaxation. We are looking forward to seeing you both again very soon!

Sincerely,

We stayed at The Beach Club for 4 days nears the start of our 6 week honeymoon travels and absolutely loved it.
From the minute we stepped off the plane we were waited on hand and foot. Staff from the hotel met us at arrivals and led us to a chauffeured golf buggy. We didn't even have to collect our luggage - it was all taken care of and our bags were waiting for us in our room by the time we got there!
There are no cars around the island - you can get everywhere by golf buggy, which is readily available at reception whenever you want to go anywhere. Most things are also within walking distance if you're not feeling too lazy!!
Our room at The Beach Club was spacious and luxurious with a balcony that looked out through the trees to sea. At night the fruit bats danced about right outside our window and in the day the cockatoos chatted to us from the nearby branches.
As we were right at the end of the Beach Club resort we could hear a little bit of noise from the neighbouring Reef View Hotel swimming pool, but it was only during the day time (that area was not used at night) and it was not very loud. We were not often in the too during the day so it did not bother us.
We were given a drink and snack on arrival and there was also champagne waiting for us in our room. The perfect start to our honeymoon!
The pool area was never busy during out stay and always beds available. We took paddle boards out in the bay one day which was good fun, although harder than it looks!
We enjoyed food at The Beach Club although it is a little pricey - but then no food on the island is cheap. We also had a cheaper evening meal just along the beach which was also very nice.

Hamilton Island was one of the highlights of our whole trip and the Beach Club made us feel like we were in true honeymoon luxury!!

We feel very fortunate to have spent 3 nights here. Lovely room & food. The most gorgeous of views and a fantastic white sand beach. As for the sea and cloudless sky - the most perfect blue ! Hamilton Island is a gorgeous location too. A meal at the Mariners, a snorkling trip, sailing a catamaran, fish & chips on the Marina front and chilling in front of a true blue sea/sky are just some of our special memories. What stops me saying perfection - breakfast is a little disjointed. That said the Beach Club comes as close as you get to true perfection - we would love to come back.

Had an amazing time here for the Hamilton Island part of our honeymoon. We stayed 5 nights and were wowed at the excellent attention to detail and customer service. On arriving we had a complimentary mocktail and nibbles in the beautiful nautical lounge overlooking the infinity pool and crystal clear ocean. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys, picked us up/dropped us off in the buggy at all times of the night/day, were genuinely interested in our stay. It was fab!

Breakfast was a la carte and delicious. I opted for eggs benedict or the pancakes with poached fruits most days which was yummy. Lots of freshly squeezed juices to choose from also and croissants, breads, hams and cheeses. Lunch was leisurely and we always had that pool side, choosing a special usually, like a club sandwich with fries - yum. The waitresses also periodically come round with fruit infused water to cool you down which was a nice touch.

Two waitresses in particular were lovely, a Canadian blond waitress who was just lovely and also a New Zealand waitress with mid-brown hair who went to lots of extra trouble to accomodate our needs on our honeymoon. I think one of the waitresses was called Amanda.

Would definitely stay again, rooms were nice but a tiny bit dated. Looks like they were built in the early 2000's but bed is comfy, rooms are sparkling and you hardly spend time in there as you're enjoying the pool/beach activities. I'd say that is my only, tiny niggle!

Room Tip: Pick an upstairs room for beautiful views of the ocean.

Hello Siobhan M,

We were very pleased that you chose to stay with us for part of your honeymoon and I’m happy that you really enjoyed your stay.

The waitresses that you mentioned are named Joelene and Andrea. They have seen your review and are thrilled that you mentioned them in such a positive way.

Thank you for your outstanding review and I hope that the both of you will return soon.

We decided to travel to Hamilton Island for our honeymoon as we were lucky enough to win 3 free nights at the Reef View Hotel. We spent 7 night on HI but as Reef View caters for children, after our 3 free nights at Reef View we moved across to the Beach Club. This Hotel had everything we wanted. It was small (about 100 guests max at the hotel) and had a very intimate feeling to it even though the rest of HI is crazy. From the word go everything was luxury. The hotels co-ordianted moving us from one to the other seamlessly. When we arrived to check-in, our friendly host Abbie explained the hotel to us and showed us to our room. The room was a good size and had a great bathroom with his and her's vanities.
The resort offers the best of both worlds with free use of the catamarans, kayaks, wind-surfers and snorkelling gear but also has a private pool over looking the beach with no children so you can choose to be active or lounge and both are great. Or you can do a little of both like we did.
The highlight for me was the breakfast. Served by the pool overlooking the beach, they serve an a la carte hot breakfast and team it with a continental buffet you can help yourself to so you can eat as much as you like but still have a great quality breakfast. Unlimited espresso coffee makes it practically perfect. A really relaxing start to the day.
Pro's:
-The little things make this hotel great and make you feel looked after. The supply of sunscreen and towels by the pool, the library where you can help yourself to the magazines and books, the comfy lounges by the pool and the beautiful aromatherapy hand creams in the bathrooms.
-The staff were all very friendly and as the hotel is small you see all the staff and get to know them a bit. It's always nice when people remember which coffee you like at breakfast so you don't have to ask!
-Location is perfect
-No children
-The buggy service is great. You can be dropped off or picked up anywhere (although the island is small so walking is no issue)

Con's
-Only one was the service at dinner in the restaurant was not 100%. It just took a little long than it should have to be served, get drinks, etc but it was not so bad I felt I needed to say anything. Having said that, the food was so good we can easily forgive

Hello AlisonD86,

Firstly, let me thank you for choosing to stay at Beach Club for part of your honeymoon. Secondly, let me say that I’m so happy to hear how pleased you were with your choice to stay with us.

Beach Club is a boutique hotel and as you mention, guests enjoy privacy and personal service during their stay with us. Of course, Beach Club guests are free to go anywhere on the island and use all of the pools and watersports equipment but they are also able to just relax on the private section of Catseye Beach reserved for Beach Club guests or swim in our private infinity pool. As you said, Beach Club guests get the best of both worlds.

I will pass on your comments about the breakfast to the kitchen staff. Thanks for the feedback – they will be happy to hear it.

We all hope that you decide to come back and stay with us again sometime in the not-too-distant future.

Sincerely,

Marcus Taylor
