“Townhouse at home he corner of Macrossan and 4 mile beach”
Reviewed 16 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

A very nice place- just across a little parking lot from the and of four mile beach. You can see the beach through the trees. Has 3 bedrooms and a 2 bathrooms upstairs, and the kitchen/living room and another bathroom with washer/dryer. The place is in a row of townhouses, at the end of the Main Street for eating/shopping.

We have stayed the entire September school holidays at Sun and Moon 2 for four years running. There's no better endorsement than that!

It feels like our second home now. We love the location to the beach, shops and restaurants and will stay no-where else!

“Back again and we love it even more!”

This is our second time here at Sun and Moon 2 and we have already booked next year!

As the kids get older, this is turning into the best holiday accommodation in Port Douglas for us as they can be very independent. They walk up to the shops to get a milkshake, ice cream or a burger at Dave's, have a play on the beach, fossick around the rocks or just chill out and relax.

Being so close to the beach is also great for my daily morning 8km walk up to the point and back for some quiet time before the family wakes up.

Also a lovely touch when you arrive is the fridge stocked with fresh milk and butter and on the table a basket of fresh fruit and a loaf of bread. All sorts of non perishables are left in the pantry so you don't need to go out and buy salt and pepper etc. It's just the luck of the draw what is left over, but you could get tomato sauce, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, vegemite etc.

The BBQ still needs to be updated as the one there at the moment is a roaster and doesn't generate much heat to BBQ.

The kids love the 2nd TV which has been installed since our last visit, so when the adults are watching a show they can go upstairs and watch a few kids shows.

All-in-all Sun and Moon 2 is a great base to enjoy fabulous Port Douglas!

Liked best: Location to Beach and Macrossan Street action
Liked least: BBQ and the recycle truck which comes into the park at 6.30am, but it's a reliable wake up call for a morning walk!

“Wonderful home close to the beach”

We spent 5 days with another couple at Sun&Moon 2. From the time we made the booking we were made to feel at home and that is the one word that sums it up - HOME. From the minute you walk in it is very homely and very stylishly furnished. The kitchen is well equipped although we did use the BBQ more often. The beds are firm but comfortable. The location is stunning and the views just great. There was never a dull moment with the passing people traffic it is well secluded and just 100 meters away from the beach - we did not even have to take a towel. The fresh water shower on the veranda was a bonus since the public fresh water shower is just meters away. The only downside was the party revelers on Saturday evening! We had a wonderful stay and we hope to visit again in the not too distant future.

“A little piece of heaven”

We stayed in this 3 bedroom villa for one week and had the time of our lives. It had everything we needed to make our stay feel "our home away from home." The position is the best in town with views of the beach and the many restaurants within walking distance "just down the road. " Even though it was Carnival time the position is quiet and we could enjoy the peace and serenity of the area.

We would love to return as soon as time permits and would look no further to stay again at Sun and Moon.
Thank you Mouse for making our stay so enjoyable
John and Sue
