We spent 3 nights here. The hotel opened in February 2018. The room was quiet, comfortable and in great condition. AC worked well. Wifi was fast & reliable. Onsite parking costs $10/day, but is otherwise fine. The location is great, a short walk to everything in the CBD.

This was a hard review to do - on one hand the staff were very lovely and helpful, but on the other hand our stay was very unpleasant. To be honest it seems like the establish is newly opened and they are still just ironing out a few issues.

The staff did try very hard to meet our every request which was fantastic. The sad thing was we had to make so many requests to try and have a pleasant stay that in the end we just bit the bullet and the result was unpleasant.

Firstly, we booked through wotif app and it didn’t tell us to call ahead for parking. Rightly so, we were told there was no parks and that we would have to park on the street. After some further discussion the manager ended up giving us his staff buzzer and letting us stay in the staff park. Thank you! If this was the only issue then I would have given 6 stars!

But it wasn’t...

We were then told that the only room left was the disabled room, and that the only difference was a bigger shower, however, the ‘bigger shower’ comes at a cost. There is a bench in the shower and there is no glass between the toilet and the shower. Then because the bathroom is bigger, the rest of the room is smaller and has a different layout to accommodate wheelchair access. We went back to reception and asked for a change, as we were staying for 4 nights and wanted it to be pleasant. We were offered a downstairs room, with the warning that they are quite noisy rooms, as reception and the pool are either side - we obviously weren’t happy with that either. They then did some reshuffling and put us in a standard room, like we paid for. If this was all the issues then again it would have been a okay stay.

The rooms are nice, new and tidy, however, they are very small. We struggled to find places to put our luggage where it wasn’t in the walkway. The room had an awful stench. It was potent. I’m not sure if it was from the drains in the bathroom, or was just a result of being stuffy with no air circulating. It didn’t really get better with the fan on. Not sure if it’s just room 412. It really needs to be fixed. We didn’t want to ask for more favours so we dealt with the smell... however, it did make for an unpleasant stay. Next, the noise is atrocious. It’s not just the rooms downstairs. The tile floors cause all noise to echo and get amplified. We often got woken up by the elevator and people talking down the hall. The walls must be paper thing, because we could literally hear the man snoring in the room next to us. These things every day made for a terrible stay.

Some other concerning things are that you need the room key to get inside from the pool, but not out to the pool. Don’t forget your room key or you will get locked outside. In the laundry, there is salt and chlorine sitting on the ground (get it in a locked cupboard ASAP, before a kid who is ‘helping’ mum with the washing gets into it and you have a lawsuit on your hands).

I really hope hat you can resolve some of the issues for the future. The manager is lovely and the staff are trying hard to please there customers.

Recently opened,very clean hotel. No bar/restaurant as such but otherwise fine. Staff were very helpful. Hotel backs onto late night bars so would recommend a room at the front of the hotel for a quiet night. Car park does cost extra.

Stayed here last night for an event in the City. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient, vouchers were a nice touch. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. However we found the bed to be uncomfortable, I have never in my life slept on a bed that is so hard. My husband tossed and turned all night and couldn’t get comfortable. We were in a room at the rear of hotel and could still quite clearly hear the music from Throb.

A lovely hotel in a really good location. Stroll to Woolworths and speciality stores, gym, mall, taxi rank, bus stops and great restaurants and pubs. The waterfront is a short stroll as well. The hotel was very clean and well equipped, although the room was small, it had everything we required. Staff were friendly and greeted us immediately. Check in and check out were quick and smooth. Will definitely stay again. Oh, and the wifi, air cond and tv were excellent.
