I took the man here for a Birthday surprise and we were both completely knocked out by the team, the food, the accommodation, the ambiance and of course Uluru itself. Outstanding on every level with immaculate attention to detail. We were made to feel incredibly welcome and nothing was to much effort. Shout outs to Tom, Dennis, Richard, Monique, Brogan, Richard, Terrance, Tianne, Theadora, Chris (hopefully I got everybody and correct names). This is world class in our own country; do it and be amazed! All the tours and planning around them are first rate. We were in Tent 14 (Tuit), and we looked directly on to Uluru and it’s amazing nature show. You don’t need movies or TV. The entertainment is right in front and of you. Many, many thanks to each and all. Allan and Derick

Palya Allan,

What an amazing birthday gift - we’re thrilled to hear it was a welcome surprise for both of you. Thankfully you don't have to travel far from home to see some incredible places and we pride ourselves on setting the benchmark for luxury in our own backyard. From the tents and those end-of-the-bed views, to the cuisine and signature touring, everything is carefully choreographed and delivered seamlessly by our wonderful team - they will appreciate the shout-outs, thank you!

It was great to welcome you to the Red Centre - it will be hard to top that as a birthday present. Perhaps we will see you at one of our sister lodges for your own birthday!

Best regards,
Team Longitude

Desperate to see Uluru for 30 years, I finally booked the trip but had an unfortunate injury to my foot two days prior. My husband and family said...cancel...its hot , too many flies, December inYulara is the wrong time of the year...in my experience you take the opportunity when it arrises as see what happens. No one can predict any weather pattern these days.

I was not disappointed. The service, accommodation and food was absolutely fantastic. The staff are highly trained, motivated and enthusiastic. Ben and Lou you have a fantastic team.

The view from our"tent' ( no 2) was uninterrupted and spectacular.Uluru in all its glory.

As an art teacher the mind boggles at the variation of colour that Uluru exhibits at different times of the day. The accommodation is perfect. There are little treats left on your bed at night, the swags put on the daybeds ( on the outside deck)with tray of Baileys, port and other nightcaps. A gas fire burns to keep away the insects.
The bar is always open , the fridge is always full and the food is exceptional, catering to my very difficult dietary requirements with no blunders and always creative and tasty. Tom you are a star.

I managed to walk the 10km round the rock, do the day trips and the dinners under the stars were spectacular. The flies were ...not too bad, I swallowed one but nets are provided. The Field of Lights were beautiful and we rarely encountered too many people as the staff were experts in timing.

I highly suggest that one does the helicopter trip even though we were reluctant to do it. One cannot imagine the full impact of the Olgas and Uluru without it...the views are incredible and the flight worth every cent. Sam made us feel very safe and was an excellent pilot and guide. Ayes Rock helicopters is the way to go.

A truly amazing visit.

Room tip: Tent 2 has amazing views and very private. It is a short walk to the main dining areas

Dear Michele,

Firstly, we're sorry to hear about your foot injury and wish you a speedy recovery. What unfortunate timing, but we are thrilled to hear you didn't let it slow you down. There is no denying the desert heat, however, Longitude 131 is well equipped to cater for the climate whatever the extreme. The Dune Top plunge pool with adjacent bar and cooling water misters also helps!

A stay with us means being welcomed into the Baillie Lodges community, and the lodge team will be humbled by your testament to the lovely atmosphere they have created. They deliver amazing work in the restaurant and catering to dietary requirements given the location, and the treats and nightcaps are little touches to make sure you feel at home.

For many visiting Uluru is on the bucket list, but not the must-do list. It's presence once seen and felt in person is truly awe-inspiring, and clearly you made the most of your time in the Red Centre, covering everything from the Field of Light to a helicopter tour and the Uluru base walk.

After 30 years of anticipation we’re humbled you chose to stay at Longitude 131, and perhaps we’ll see you at a sister lodge once your foot is healed!

Sincerely
Team Longitude

This is my 4th visit to L131 since Baillie Lodges acquired the property, this stay was the best! We visited late September, on previous visits I've stayed in mid September, May & July. September is ideal as it's not too cold for the early morning walks & not too hot during the day......also the flies are absent! What made this stay extra special from previous stays, was the spectacular food and outstanding dining service. Chef Tom (ex Southern Ocean Lodge) has totally revitalized and improved the menus to a superior standard. The food and beverage service with Rachel at the helm (also ex SOL) has markedly improved making the entire dining experience a pure joy. The all inclusive package which includes all food, beverages ( including Louis Roederer Champagne) and touring is certainly my preferred way to travel! The signature tours/experiences on offer are very good and will certainly give you an extensive understanding and connection to the National Park. I recommend a minimum stay of 4 nights, especially if you wish to experience other tour options or even just spend a day relaxing at the lodge. I highly recommend booking a 36 minute Heli flight which departs from L131 and gives you spectacular views of Uluru and Kata Tjuka. Book early if you wish to experience the Sunset Flight. It's mesmerizing to see this unique outback landscape from above. When booking your accommodation Baillie Lodges reservation staff are happy to book all Bespoke touring, eg Sunset motor bike tours, camel rides, visits to Kings Canyon, private hiking, etc, etc so that you don't miss out on limited places available.
Then of course is the Spa, which is certainly worth a visit!
The improved amenities at L131 such as the swimming pool area, the outdoor Dining platform at Table 131 plus the Dune Top Bar, which includes a plunge pool and private dining booths that overlook Uluru & Kata Tjuka are wonderful. Definitely treat yourself to an extra special private dining experience in a booth of your choice a top a dune! My September 2020 stay was superb as this was my first time staying in the Dune Pavilion. It is beautifully appointed with every luxury including stunning aboriginal art.......and with views of both Uluru and Kata Tjuka from your own private outdoor dining deck, plunge pool and day bed area......the extra cost is worth it! Ben and Lou are first rate lodge managers and their professional, friendly & welcoming team truly look after your every whim. Thank you all at Longitude 131 for a fantastic stay and the happy memories. looking forward to when I visit again.

Room tip: Highly recommend the Dune Pavilion

Dear Bronwyn M,

Thank you so much sharing this lovely reflection of your stay! To have topped the previous three times you’ve visited the lodge is a remarkable achievement and one our staff will be incredibly proud of. We continually strive to improve on the experience we offer our guests, and we’re thrilled your recent trip has set the benchmark. Chef Tom and Rachel (and their respective colleagues) work wonders given the challenges of providing five-star cuisine in the middle of the desert, and we are incredibly proud of them and what they achieve, all with a smile.

We’re thrilled you enjoyed the included signature experiences exploring Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. As you mentioned, should any of our bespoke experiences appeal, our Reservations team can assist with bookings and go the extra mile to choreograph a truly personal stay. The heli-sunset tour is unforgettable and we’re glad you got the chance to see the Red Centre from above. As a multi-return guest it means a lot to us that you are so commending of the enhancements we’ve made at the property, and so complimentary of our staff.

Thank you for being a part of the Baillie Lodges family, and we hope to see you again in the future!

This was our second time at Longitude 131, and we were not disappointed! There have been several upgrades since our stay 6 years ago, and while we didnt think there was anything to improve on, we were glad to be proved wrong. The upgraded deck on the bedrooms was the perfect place to star-gaze at night, and enjoy the ever-changing colour of Uluru from sunrise to sunset. The pool area was a welcome relief from the heat, particularly with the spray-mister. Our favorite change was the dune-top, with the plunge pool .. we had it all to ourselves one afternoon, and the 360 degree views and solitude were unbelievable. The food and endless bar options were as good as ever, as were the tours and experiences. However, it was the staff that made the stay so enjoyable - they were attentive, professional and knowledgeable .. a special shout out to Tiarna, Adam, Bec and Rachel, who went beyond to make sure everyone enjoyed there time in this very special place. We hope to meet you one day at another Baillie Lodge. Cheers, Karen and Rob

Dear Karen T (and Rob!),

Wow! Thank you so much for your glowing review. Longitude 131 has always been such a unique place to stay. With the recent addition of balconies on guest tents, redevelopment of the main lodge hub the Dune House and creation of the glamorous Dune Pavilion, we’ve sought to only enhance the incredible sense of place. We’re thrilled we could improve your overall experience. And we couldn’t agree more, there is no better way to beat the heat than being immersed in the cooling depths of the dune top plunge pool.

We appreciate your kind words about our staff. We are very proud of our team here at Longitude and they will be brightened to hear your endorsements.

We look forward to welcoming you again, perhaps to sister property Capella Lodge on World Heritage-listed Lord Howe Island.

Sincerely,

Team Longitude
