About an hour out from Yulara Curtin Springs is a fantastic and surprising gem. We did the paper tour and even our 9 year old boys loved it. All the staff were so friendly. We had lunch there after completing the tour. My wife says they do the best BLT roll ever. Unfortunately after we left we only got 17kms down the road before our car stopped. After getting a lift back to Curtin Springs the staff became even more helpful. They not only helped me with change for the pay phone (no mobile reception here) they then went and told Amy who is part of the family running the station. Amy came out and arranged for one of the men to take a car out and pick up my wife and kids from the broke down car and bring them back why we waited for the tow truck. Amy then spent her time talking to my wife and kids for several hours about station life etc. I cannot thank Amy and her staff enough for going out of their way to help us in a very stressful time.

Hi TwiningaroundAust, thank you for taking the time to put finger to keyboard for us. We find that the kids just love getting their hands wet and being shown how the transformation of grass into paper! Amee says that the time your family ended up spending here was a lovely time even though it was not part of your plan!
Thank you for your kind words and I hope that the rest of your trip went a bit more smoothly! With thanks, Lyndee Severin (Amee's mum)

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Ayres Rock. Its basic accommodation but very clean and was very acceptable for the price (a fraction of what you pay 60 miles away in Yolara if you want to be close to the rock.) The restaurant serves simple meals but the choice is a little limited. A shop provides all the necessities and fuel is available.

A great little rest place on route to Uluru, Kings Canyon, or Alice, S.A. border. Free camping available with showers at small fee available. Clean amenities and tea rooms. It is a little green oasis on a huge cattle station. accommodation options in these places are not luxurious but offer an wonderful opportunity to meet weary travelers on route to the worlds most amazing places.

We stopped here for an overnight stop. Free camping and only $3.00 for a hot shower. Flushing toilets, plenty of space, quiet campground. Interesting place to stop in, worth stopping for a drink, meal or just to have a look around and have a chat with the family on site. There are tours available, but we didn't have time for these.

Hi Martanand
You found lots of things to do during your short stay with us and maybe a plan to come back again another time and do the tours and activities that take a little more time. The biggest challenge of any holiday, trying to make all the things you would like to do, fit into the time available. I hope you had a wonderful trip to our amazing part of the world. No fridge, no tv, no entertainment of any kind. Very small inside. Very overpriced dongas. Most expensive accommodation, for what it was, to and from Uluru. These dongas were very old, the removable ones left over from some workers accommodation. Management were not helpful at all, but the staff were ok.

Room Tip: Keep moving on, try the next place Mt Ebenezer, it was old but good value.

Hello Jean D. We offer a range of accommodation and camping options so that visitors may find the right option that works for their trip - the number of visitors travelling with them and their budgets. Yes, our accommodation rooms are all transportable buildings - as are all our personal homes. All our rooms have had significant improvements made on them over the last few years with new bathrooms, carpets, soft furnishings and fresh paint. Set in our lovely gardens most visitors enjoy the opportunity to take a break, sit outside and enjoy the really lovely temperatures we have at the moment and rediscover the time away from the technology! Visitors are more than welcome to store their chilled items in our large coldrooms. I hope you found some wonderful things during your visit to Central Australia.
