“Great hotpot location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2012

This restaurant is great to eat it. Lots of hot and spicy choices if you like your food hot or super hot... The hotpot choices are great. And fish is good..

“Like Sichuan food? This place is worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 February 2012

We went here based on the trip advisor reviews - we are hard core sichuan fans and our home town doesn't have a dedicated Sichuan restaurant, although a few places do some sichuan specialties quite well.

The service is fairly basic although we found them very helpful - husband can't eat shrimps and when the first waiter didn't understand the question he sent over someone with good English to make sure. Full marks for this - this made us confident in ordering.

We had a spicy stirfried chicken and the beans with pork mince. The chicken was hot enough and tasty, although we would have been happy with more Sichuan peppers (but we are addicts, and they were there!). The beans were tasty and included the pickled vegetables in the classic recipe. Plenty of rice to accompany and the price was good. Large servings - didn't have starters and didn't need to.

The place is really popular and we didn't have a booking (and it was Saturday), so ended up upstairs in the hotpot room. This is not quite as comfortable but we were there for the food.

We'll be back on our next trip...

“Some like it HOT!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 October 2011

We found this place just off the main strip of Asian style restaurants that didn't seem that appealing. Its not that easy to find but so worth it when you find it. There are plenty of very mild dish's so there is something for everyone.

“Honest Sichuan cuisine, and very authentic.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 September 2011

Great food. Having lived in China for 5 years I am always pleased to find places that serve dishes as they are served in China. This place does that. Service could be better, but otherwise great.

Happy with the quality and authenticity of the food. Well worth the strong taste of sichuan pepper.
