Description: The rocks cafe The Rocks Cafe is one of The Rocks' favourite icons. It offers a truly European dining experience just opposite the MCA on George Street. The Cafe spans two floors and combines the best of modern Australian architecture with a traditional bohemian feel that adds genuine warmth which is echoed by the friendly staff. The Cafe is open seven days a week from 8am to late at night so you can enjoy the breakfast, lunch or dinner. The menus are updated regularly and are complimented by the daily specials where our Chief Chef exercises his flair. Just around the corner from Circular Quay it's very central to the CBD and the financial district for lunch or after work dinner with friends or colleagues. The Rocks Cafe is the perfect for an intimate meal or large corporate bookings can be hosted upstairs and made private if required. Our wine list features wine from the best Australian wine producing regions and our staff are fully trained to help you in any way

Staff very unfriendly and definitely not for people who have allergies. Gluten free toast was less than average with rancid grainy butter. And because it was Sunday an added 10% surcharge.

We like a few drinks before eating. This place was still serving at 10pm. Small cafe with a few outdoor tables.
The menu had variety and was reasonably priced.
Our son had hoped to try a Crocodile burger whilst Oz he was able to here.
Other family members had pasta dishes which were plentiful and tasty.

We just had to try a Roo burger while in Australia and this is a great place to give it a try. The day was pleasant so we sat outside in one of the 4-5 small outdoor cafe tables they set up. The staff was friendly and generally attentive and the food was fresh and good tasting. We planned to return to try to the croc burger, but didn't make it back before we left Sydney. The cafe has two levels and the upstairs dining area looks like a great place to enjoy a meal or coffee with conversation on a blustery day. The whole place is so prototypical of the entire Rocks neighborhood ambience. Recommended!

Had breakfast here.
Early in the morning so little traffic to disturb us at outdoor table.
Service okay with some shortcomings.
Paula has eggs and English Breakfast tea. Had no comment from her.
I chose to have a ham and cheese croissant. My impression was not all that good, soggy tasteless croissant, uninspiring cheese and ham. Must have been spoilt by recent similar meals in Spain and Portugal.
Had about a third before rest was snatched of my plate by a bird. To be honest was not dissapointed.Even the bird seemed to have trouble with the meal.
