I went with a large group of people and whilst there were some good set menus, due to a number of dietary requirements, we decided to order a la carte. We shared entrees but ordered individual mains (they could be easily shared as well).

The food has a northern African and Mediterranean influence. They cater very well for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan. The standing entree was definitely the Halloumi chips - who doesn't love fried Halloumi!

For main I had the lamb loin which was pretty good. The quality of all of the meals varied from solid to outstanding. Plenty of daily specials on offer as well.

The food all came out in good time. The waitress was very helpful - maybe sometimes too helpful but hey, I'd prefer that than a lack of enthusiasm.

A solid restaurant which is good for groups to experience some different food. The only criticism is that it was quite hot and stuffy in there but it was a hot Sydney evening. Enjoy!

We dined here on Saturday night with a group of friends. We sat upstairs and ordered the Option 2 banquet menu, which was $50 per head and had a good and varied selection of everything, veggie, meat, seafood, bread & dips, haloumi etc. We had a wonderful waitress named Marta or Martina? She was really friendly, knowledgable about the food and went out of her way to make sure each individual was looked after. We had one in our group who doesn't eat coriander or cucumber, and they updated on every dish to make sure he was catered for, and that he knew exactly what was in each dish to give him comfort. Nothing was too much trouble at all.
The drinks flowed freely, glasses were kept full at all times.

The food was fantastic, every dish was absolutely delicious. He haloumi was soft and melting inside, the chicken was tender and super flavoursome. The pasta dish with some sort of spicy meat (I can't remember the names of all the dishes) was a crowd favourite. There was plenty of food. The chef Mike came upstairs to say hello to us toward the end of the night.

Interestingly, on the Friday night my husband and I had been to The Bridge Room, which has recently been voted AGFG hottest NSW restaurant of the year, and a 3 hat rating. Sure it was a nice restaurant but I have to say that we enjoyed the food and the service at Cafe Mint infinitely more! Not to mention the price - Friday night at Bridge Room was $300 for two excluding drinks, and Saturday night at Cafe Mint was $100 for two excluding drinks - for a lot more and yummier food, served to us with a lot more warmth and efficiency!

The food and the service was excellent the food more so. An excellent selection of dishes and everything was delightfully tasteful and fulfilling. Although we had a slight mix up with the drinks everything was sorted at check out. Highly recommend this Café Mint for a genuine good quality meal.
