We underestimated the popularity of this place which is right on our doorstep yet we hadn't tried it. Still, four of us turned up early on a Saturday night and managed to get a great table.
We were hosting the other couple in our neighbourhood so the pressure was on!
There's a lot of items on the menu that aren't our usual fayre, so we took the waitress's advice and went for the tasting menu (or 'banquet' perhaps).
As for wine, there's plenty of choice. You've got to go with the Lebanese option here though, surely.
We were not disappointed. Each course better than the last.
The honey halloumi was superb. Best halloumi I've tasted in Sydney.
Delighted all round. Our reputation as reliable Surry Hills sherpas endures.
