Owner description: The Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust is responsible for managing two of Australia’s premier sports venues – the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium. Both venues are located at Moore Park, only 4km from the central business district and adjacent to the popular bars, restaurants, cinemas and shops of the Entertainment Quarter. The historic Sydney Cricket Ground boasts an impressive list of credentials, encompassing cricket, Australian Rules Football, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer, Baseball, Cycling and major concerts by the Rolling Stones, Billy Joel and Elton John, Michael Jackson, Madonna, the Eagles, Prince, Green Day and the Wave Aid concert. The Sydney Cricket Ground provides the perfect balance between the big crowd atmosphere and intimacy with the on-field action. These aspects, combined with the location of the venue, make visiting the SCG a special experience for all patrons.

Went along to the SCG to watch England clinch the one day series in Jan 18 which was one of the rare highlights. Access to the ground is easy and the transport links are very good. Once inside the ground there are numerus places to get food and drink plus theres lots of staff on duty so if any issues they can be quickly sorted. It was very hot on the day we went and they sprayed us with cold mist to keep us cool and gave out free water to keep everyone hydrated. A great experience and a great credit to Australia the ground is excellent

I found this tour fantastic and very reasonably priced compared to the Opera House! Kazz our guide was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable as well as having a good sense of humour. An interest in cricket helps, but there is so much to see even a non specialist should enjoy it. Highly recommended!

A great day out at the SCH we travelled from the UK to attend the 4th day of the match. Very well organised venue. The weather was extremely hot and our seats were in the sun an official said we could move to the shade up in the stand they were worried about heat stroke this we did and were very thankful. Shame about the result for the Brits tho but a very good day out.

I had the opportunity on my recent visit to attend two days play here in very different circumstances. The first was in January for an ODI against England and the second in February for the first day of a Sheffield Shield match between NSW and South Australia. For the first we drove to the ground and parked in the fields by Driver Avenue. The cost was A$25.00 - credit card payment only. Entrance in to the ground was prompt and the crowds outside the ground well managed. We were in Bay 32 and had excellent views. The scoreboard cum screen is very informative. The food outlets close by are adequate with the food acceptable. We left the ground between the two innings. Outside there was a large area designated for food and drink concessionaries though bags had to be searched prior to entering. Additional there was a trailer stall selling cricket shirts, hats etc. We were so occupied that we were late returning to our seats. What the result. Oh England won to take the ODI series. The crowd must have been between 30 to 35 thousand. For the second game I travelled by public transport walking from Central station which takes about 25 minutes. Entrance was free and non members are directed to sit in the delightful old Ladies Pavilion dating back to the late 19th century. The food outlet was once again adequate would recommend the sandwiches and meat pies. During the lunch break you can sit at one of the nearby tables and watch the players practicing. The attendance could not have been more than 300 at any one time. The cricket museum is also open and is free to enter. An excellent ground to watch cricket.

We are baseball fans from the states and thought this would be different. We lucked out because we got to stay and watch them play cricket after the tour. It is a complicated game but entertaining.

Yes, we are getting an increasing number of visitors from the states attending our behind the scenes guided walking tour of the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) and Allianz Stadium - SCG Tour. It's a great window into Australian sport and culture.

And what a treat for you to see part of a match after the tour!
Glad you found it entertaining.

Kind Regards
