We looked out of out Hotel window, and there across the road, was lunch, or at least some nice tables on the pavement that promised lunch.

It was a basic affair, order inside and meals are delivered to your table. Service was quick.

As for the food, it was relatively inexpensive, but also relatively average. I had a fisherman's basket ($19) which had one lonely piece of fish (and a bit too fishy tasting at that) a couple of crispy (read overcooked) prawns, several pieces of quite good calamari and some decent chips. It wasn't bad, and reasonable value for money, but it was not an inspiring lunch.

My wife made similar noises about her chicken Caeser salad.

Overall an average experience, hence an average score.

The tables outside in the sunshine looked tempting so we went inside for a drink. One other couple was sitting inside but no one was at the bar. I asked the couple waiting if they had ordered food but they were only after a coffee. We waited... and waited ... and Patrick even called downstairs for service. No one answered. We continued to wait as it Was sunny outside but eventually decided to give up. The waiter arrived just as we were leaving and asked if he could help us. We said too late, we’d waited too long and he said “okay then bye “. There’s service for you. We would however recommend Ribs and Burgers over the road. Even tho in the shade the service and food were fantastic. I’ll be writing a review for them next

Attended the bar area upstairs for a quick refresh during Vivid, friendly welcoming bar staff, so stayed for a drink and the best chips in sydney, back the next day and the kids wanted to go back for more, had a great lunch, same friendly staff, owner Mike very welcoming interacting with the kids even though very busy, great food and service, , that good kids want to go back again tomorrow.

Stopped for dinner during Vivid. Friendly staff. This place was busy, they found us a table. Garlic bread starter- lots of garlic. We had pizza - woodfired spicy and not to heavy or oily. Perfect. Dinner companions had the pasta alfredo and the pasta of the day. Both very delicious. Finslly dessert - we tried the gelato (beautiful and creamy), ricotta cheesecake (not overly sweet) and the tiramisu (wickedly creamy but not sweet). Fabulous evening.

We got a table and ordered food for our 2 kids and ourselves. The adult meals come out first and then the kids which I thought was weird. Both my husband and I ordered a pasta dish with prawns.. my husband got half a dozen or so I only got 2!! Not only that - mine was lukewarm and had no flavour. They also tried to overcharge us for the kids meals - so there is a lack of communication within staff. Wont be going again.
