I lived in Glebe in the 1990s & had previously recommended The Haven for visitors. The location is excellent & it used to have a pool. So on a work trip to the area I was looking fwd to staying here.
The room I had was a corner room, with a large-ish balcony, which was nice but the room itself was pretty cramped & there was an aroma of ‘old’ which overthrew attempts to disguise it.
That said, the bed was very comfy & service friendly (tho I had to pay for drinking water). It was sufficient for my stay, but I wouldn’t rate it higher than 3 stars. Keep expectations for adequacy, not luxury & you’ll be happy. More
