We had an awesome time swimming at Coogee this past February. Some of the swells were large but the currents were even rather than unpredictable. I saw nobody- maidens or otherwise- being bowled over by ferocious waters. The iridescent green waters were clear and uncontaminated while we were there, which was an added bonus.

Absolutely loved this scenic coastal walk. We took the bus from Circular Quay in Sydney out to Coogee to start our walk. It is approximately six kilometres to Bondi but felt more than that in the heat. We passed little bays and inlets on a good path . Although there were limited opportunities for a refreshment break, there were water points along the route to refill water bottles or take a drink. Once in Bondi we took the bus back to Sydney. A lovely day out

Coogee beach itself is a beautiful patrolled surf beach, not far from Sydney CBD. It is an extremely safe and beautiful place to go for a swim with grassy areas and parkls all around to relax also. There are amenities and a huge array of shops and restaurants nearby to keep you entertained all day long. Highly recommend.

Beautiful sand and fantastic looking beach.
I love the sea and went swimming here on many ocassions.
There is a bit of swell due to the mid size waves that can break pretty near the shore. No surfing here but not a place for children of people not used to waves as they are qute powerful

Very beautiful beach, well maintained, great for families.

Coogee Pavilion is a good place to eat and drink, with views across the beach and bay
