From the first we had a wonderful experience at this hotel. We were greeted by a delightful French porter - very friendly and helpful. The receptionist was also wonderful and upgraded us which is always appreciated. The room was spacious and very comfortable with plenty of USB ports and a well stocked mini-bar. Some sparkling wine and some tonic water for the gin are the only suggestions I can make. The bathroom was especially good with a large deep bath and a separate shower. The range of in-house movies was also very good. The breakfast buffet was very generous and reasonably priced. The pool and fitness room looked excellent though we didn't have time to use them. We were a bit concerned when the receptionist said it would take 20-30 minutes for our car to be brought around when leaving though it only took about 10 minutes. The location is perfect for shopping in the CBD and for access to Circular Quay. We will definitely stay there again.

I was a bit concerned when we first arrived as the structure of the building means there isn't a clear main entrance. I needn't have worried. The porters took our bags immediately and we went to reception. We had three rooms and I had emailed in advance asking for them to be on the same floor. The manager there (unfortunately I didn't get his name, an Indian chap) was incredibly helpful and even though we had arrived before check in time, busied himself getting adjoining rooms sorted and getting them serviced to we could go in early.
The rooms themselves were well appointed, quiet, comfortable beds, great bathrooms.
After settling in we went for a short walk and found ourselves at the harbour looking out at the Opera House and the Bridge.
Two small concerns, the lift couldn't always read the room key, one unfortunate chap who got in the lift with us couldn't get it to read his card at all, I don't know where he ended up! Secondly, there was only one bathrobe in the room. Neither a major concern.

We enjoyed a "long" weekend in Sydney and where to stay was the dilemma. When it comes to Sydney you have so much choice.
Many of the tourist attractions we had planned were near the Circular Quay area, and we looked for hotels in this region. Our preference when visiting Sydney is to walk or simply catch the train.
This was our first visit to the Radisson Blu Plaza and we were more than happy with the service, the comfort of the room and location. Everything was easy, that is the main point, who needs hassles when you are on holidays.
When scouring the web, we searched for hotels that had baths. I think initially we may have been allocated a room without one, but as soon as we mentioned that was our preference, ta da, it was taken care of. Nothing more indulgent than a soak in a tub!
At the end of the day after a lot of walking, the beds were like sleeping on cloud 9, very comfortable for our tired bodies and a sound sleep.
You know how some hotel bathrooms really only have room for one person at a time, well this bathroom was large enough for us both. No dancing and juggling around, lots of space to put your toiletries down etc. The uniqueness was that the window looked out from the bath into the hotel room. You could close it off with shutters, or open it up to let some natural light through or if your heart desired sit in the tub and watch TV!
On one of the nights we had drinks down at the bar, great friendly, tentative service.
We were very happy with the Radisson Blu and would be happy to go again when in that neck of the woods.

The location is great for business travellers and tourists - in the middle of the CBD, close to shops, and also walking distance to the Opera House, Circular Quay and the Rocks. Comfortable room, and a little more edgy than the usual bland hotel décor. Front desk staff and concierge were very helpful. The coffee in the lobby was excellent. Free Wi-Fi. For those who know the Flatiron building, this is a similar wedge shaped building - built in the 1850s.
It is close to Wynyard Station if you take the train from the airport. There are 2 entrances, and you'll need to use the main one after hours.
