Beautiful big room, super comfortable bed, friendly staff and our own balcony
My family & I stayed overnight in a 2 queen bed studio room on the 8th floor. The room was very spacious with more than enough room for the 4 of us. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom a bit tired looking and, even with being on the 8th floor, there was still quite a lot of traffic noise. I would highly recommend ear plugs!
I utilized the gym and although it's small, the equipment appears to be brand new. The pool, spa and sauna were huge hits with the family. The buffet breakfast was also of a high standard. We were also able to secure a cheaper price direct with the hotel than offered by Wotif.
The best 2 things about this hotel are its location and its staff. The staff were outstanding, they were friendly, professional and very accommodating. We asked for a room on a high floor and were allocated one on the highest floor; on checkout they allowed us to store our luggage and kept our car in their valet parking area free of charge whilst we explored Darling Harbour and visited the Power House Museum.
Stayed 3 nights in a studio room at the end of our 2 week visit. Room was a little tired, overlooking a grim internal courtyard (although we did ask for a quiet room & this fitted the bill).
5 minutes from Darling Harbour in a busy tourist area with easy access to all the sites, although we stayed down in the Rocks on our last visit & preferred that end of town. Good in-room wi-fi strength, helpful staff but overall pretty average, more serviced apartments style than hotel I think.
Stayed at the Radisson for four nights after disembarking from a short cruise on Dawn Princess and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the 2 queen bed room. Plenty of room for the four of us and handy facilities right in the busy part of central Sydney with George St.,Darling Harbour, Chinatown, Paddy's Market and all transport options right on your doorstep. Rooms can be pretty noisy with street noise late into the night but I guess you would expect this right downtown and I always take earplugs when travelling so sleeping was no problem. Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Rooms are a little tired and probably ready for a spruce up but overall we were more than happy with the Radisson and the price was exceptionally competitive.
Spent the weekend here and we were pleasantly surprised at service and standard of accomodation. A short stroll to the vibrant Darling Harbour area, enjoyed a great meal overlooking the water. On arrival we were upgraded to a lovely King suite enjoyed the beautiful buffet brekky. Staff were wonderfuly friendly and welcoming. Overall a great stay, thanks Radisson!!
A great location for the tourist trap that is Darwin Harbour but not so good for the CBD (Central Business District). This hotel has one very serious let-down; whilst the suites are spacious, they are very very tired. I stayed here with a colleague so I got to see two very different 1 bed suites. Mine was well layed out however 2 of the three windows were in the bedroom so the living and kitchen areas were very gloomy which, combined with the tired look made the room feel very depressing. My colleagues room had very strange layout and there was a strong stale tobacco smell in the bathroom coming from elsewhere in the building, plus his view was of an internal courtyard - not very appealing.
That being said, this hotel would be OK for a short weekend break where the only need is for a bed to sleep in, but as a hotel to live and work out of for a week this was so bad we moved to another Radisson property (the Radisson Blu, Sydney Harbour - WAY better!).
The Breakfast Buffet was OK, but again not to the normal high standard that I expect from the chain. The outstanding plus was the staff, they could not have been more professional.
