A wonderful experience. Service was faultless, rooms beautiful, views spectacular and the best location. Will definitely stay there again sometime.

Room Tip: We had the deluxe city view harbour King Room. Not as big as expected but still very comfortable.

I spent almost 40 nights at Four Seasons, Sydney during March - May, 2012. Located right at the centre of the action, the hotel is on George Street near The Rocks.

I landed on a weekend and everything was so accessible. My first 2 days went in exploring The Rocks weekend market, Sydney Opera house, Circular Quay, Botanical Garden, etc.

Service:
Good staff. Friendly and helpful.

Value for money:
It is a 5 star property; hence it is expected to be expensive. But in comparison to other 5 star properties around, it is still cheaper and provides almost similar services.

Room & Bed:
Small room but comfortable.

Decor and Cleanliness:
Hotel rooms and wash are perfectly maintained. The old world feeling of the public access areas gives it a 1980's look. The reddish/peach-ish color of the building from outside also draws inside. The public utility areas are also well kept and clean.

Location:
Bang in the middle of the action. 10/10 for that.

Swimming pool:
Nice and big. D-shaped but warm open air pool is good fun.

Spa:
Nice staff and cosy environment.

WiFi:
Awesome speed. But one needs to buy a pack. I will advice you to buy a local sim if you are staying for long. Or try to get it included in your room rate.

Breakfast/ meals:
Lavish buffet and good choices. Off menu, special request were taken care of. Appreciate the assistance of all F&B managers. They made sure that I was satisfied with the food quality.

Must try/do:
Indian chicken curry with rice and poppadums; Risotto and breakfast buffet.
Beer on tap is also good as it is brewed just 200 meters away from the Rocks.
Try to sit close to the entrance for breakfast as the pianist plays wonderful and magical notes.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel and will rate it 4/5.

Do stay at least once.

Room Tip: If you want to enjoy a nice sunny morning, take the harbor/bridge facing rooms. I loved waking up ev...

I read reviews that this hotel is old and in need of refurbishments but then, thought how bad can Four Seaons be, right? I have stayed in other Four Seasons before and found the service to be impeccable and rooms beautifully furnished. But gosh, I was disappointed when I checked in.

The room (deluxe city view) was really small. Wonder why they named it deluxe because it was anything but. Well anyway, like the other reviewers mentioned, the bathroom was old fashioned, and so was the room furniture. You literally have to go around the rooms to switch off all the lights before doing to bed. There is no master switch beside the bed. The room was dusty too. Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Not with that kind of price.

The bed was uncomfortable and sag in the middle. Throughout my stay, I didn't sleep well at all.

You can't fault the service, though. The staffs were helpful, courteous and friendly. One thing worth mentioning is the iced water provided in the hotel lobby. Definitely refreshing after a hot day out and feeling thristy. A very nice gesture by the hotel.

There is no free wifi in the hotel but you can use the internet at the executive club for free for 15 minutes.

The hotel is situated in a good location. Within walking distance to the city centre (10 mins) and 5 mins to the cruise harbour. I did not try dining at the restuarants in the hotel because there are so many restaurants and cafes around the area.

Unless the hotel invests in sprucing up the rooms, I don't think I will stay there again as there are also other 5 stars hotels nearby.

Stayed the night with the family. The room was immaculate and the service was outstanding, definately stay there again. The location was fabulous right near circular quay.

Room Tip: The corner suites are very large and overlook the opera house.
