Whether you're visiting Manly Beach, Taronga Zoo, Darling Harbour or the many other fabulous sites, the ferries are the way to go. The waterways are the most picturesque in the world!

“Parramatta Ferry”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2012

All the ferry trips around Sydney have something to offer but for a longer trip Manly is maybe No1 and the trip out to Parramatta by fast cat gives a longer trip outside the harbour. Expect to pay $5.60 one way and you have to disembark and re board. You'll see riverside suburbs that then meld into mangroves on the way up to Parramatta. I think you go for the trip...not Parramatta, although the city and Old Government house is there. Restaurants abound including one at the wharf which is fairly good. You can go all stops which might include Darling Harbour but another spot is the rowing club at the Abbotsford stop which is a great spot on the river for a drink or lunch. Alternatively, the express no stops except Rydalmere and Parramatta. If it has been raining heavily, you have to change to the bus for a ten minute ride. Best to turn around or not go after heavy rain. Friendly staff. Nice trip on a sunny day.

“Not to be missed!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2012

Whenever we are on holiday in Oz we have to spend our last week in Sydney, get a My Travel weekly pass and travel about on all the ferries (and trains and buses). What a brilliant way to travel..... take the ferry to Manly and have a walk up the Corso and then go up to Parramatta to get the return at sunset and that's an excellent day out.

“Great Ferries, Free Wifi!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2012

The Sydney Ferries are the perfect way to see the city. Get the week long transit pass which includes buses, trains, and ferries and you can spend as much time as you like on the water. Plus, the ferries even offer free wifi if you are worried about staying connected.

“Ferry under Sydney Harbour Bridge”

About $11 return from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour, you are able to get some great photos of the bridge & opera house.
