Comfortable and unique hotel

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 5 weeks agovia mobile
Great boutique hotel in Parliament House precinct. Very new and very modern with modern and bright decor. Classy touches and really liked the study/library area. Room I had was compact, comfortable, and equipped with everything I needed. Friendly and helpful service.

Great location. Terrific staff, & rooms. Intimate, yet modern & stylish, with the feel of being 'away & relaxed'. Love staying here and always look forward to returning. The Lounge / library area is an 'oasis' within an oasis. If you know , you know.

My two-day stay at Little National Canberra was a bit of a mixed experience. The room was clean and comfortable, but very small. It was manageable for me as a solo traveler, but for two people, it would likely feel cramped. The bed’s position, right next to the window, only allows access from one side, meaning couples might have to climb over each other to get to their side of the bed. The bathroom was similarly small and challenging to navigate if sharing the space.

Despite requesting room cleaning, no service was provided during my stay, which was disappointing. However, the hotel shines in other areas. The top-floor lounge is stunning, offering beautiful views of the city and sunsets—a perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee. There’s also a lovely library on the fifth floor with complimentary tea and coffee. It seems like the hotel encourages guests to spend time outside their rooms, as the small spaces could feel claustrophobic during a longer stay.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, offering restaurant recommendations and assisting with finding an adapter for my laptop. Overall, it was a good stay, especially for solo travelers or those with meetings nearby. For longer stays or for couples, though, it might feel a bit tight.

Dear MJP_India,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We certainly embrace the little at Little National and can appreciate this style of accommodation may not suit everyone. Whilst our rooms are little, the spacious Library and Lounge are perfect spaces to relax or work from. If you like the location but prefer a more traditional hotel room layout, I can highly recommend our sister properties of Hotel Realm, Burbury Hotel and Brassey Hotel.
