My two-day stay at Little National Canberra was a bit of a mixed experience. The room was clean and comfortable, but very small. It was manageable for me as a solo traveler, but for two people, it would likely feel cramped. The bed’s position, right next to the window, only allows access from one side, meaning couples might have to climb over each other to get to their side of the bed. The bathroom was similarly small and challenging to navigate if sharing the space.
Despite requesting room cleaning, no service was provided during my stay, which was disappointing. However, the hotel shines in other areas. The top-floor lounge is stunning, offering beautiful views of the city and sunsets—a perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee. There’s also a lovely library on the fifth floor with complimentary tea and coffee. It seems like the hotel encourages guests to spend time outside their rooms, as the small spaces could feel claustrophobic during a longer stay.
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, offering restaurant recommendations and assisting with finding an adapter for my laptop. Overall, it was a good stay, especially for solo travelers or those with meetings nearby. For longer stays or for couples, though, it might feel a bit tight.
