“Interesting and interactive”
Reviewed 20 April 2012

There was a great balance of history, information and interaction at the National Film and Sound Archive. It was a real walk back through time, with tv and movies from my childhood featuring in the little displays. There are two sections; the museum at one end and a small theatre at the other, with the foyer and an excellent café in the centre. The price is right (free!) so a visit is essential!

I like old film, and there are some good displays here in spite of the lack of funding. Shop is worth a visit.

“Well Worth a Look”

A great museum on media in Australia. A small museum but defiantly worth a visit for those interested in film, tv and radio.

“Beautiful building”
Reviewed 12 April 2012

Great exhibits inside too, including free film of bygone Australia. I like the fact that they show alternative films rather than the same old same old. I can't rave enough about their kids workshops too in the school holidays. $5.00 for 2 hours of making instruments and playing them on stage. Awesome!

“A great look back”

It's wonderful to have a facility available to look back over Australia's audio-visual heritage. Fun things for kids to do here too.
