“Secret treasures”
Reviewed 9 February 2012

As a regular walker in the park, I am almost reluctant to share its treasures - so often the walks we do we encounter no-one else which is part of the magic of Namadgi. It is a place of stunnning beauty and tranquility.

“Get away from the city in a beautiful setting.”
Reviewed 19 January 2012

Namadgi is a wonderful place to go to get away from the city. The visitor centre is only 20 minutes from Tuggeranong but you could be in the middle of nowhere. The campsites are well situated with toilets, gas barbeques and drinking water at some. There are fire places for those who want to toast marshmellows without starting a bushfire and plenty of space to spread out. There are a variety of walks to look at the native flora and fauna, homesteads or to get a great view of the area.

“Loved the Yankee Hat Trail Walk!”
Reviewed 9 January 2012

We did the Yankee Hat Trail in the park, and we loved it!

It's a bit of trek to find - about a 30 minute drive from the Park's Information Centre, and down a dirt road, but this trail is worth - a real gem.

No one else was there when we did the hike, so it was very peaceful. The hike is about a 6km (return) easy stroll through fields and forest leading to an aboriginal rock site. Heaps of wild kangaroos (and rabbits) all over the place. Bring bug spray though to keep away the flies!

“A lot to do if you like the outdoors”
Reviewed 7 January 2012

Namadgi covers a huge area, and there are lots of good walking trails suitable for children as well as adults. A favourite is the short along the valley to Orroral Homestead (and there is an even shorter walk from the road - 300m.)

“Very great park.”
Reviewed 5 December 2011

There are many trails and many things to see! There are also many kangaroos. I was able to take pictures of them close up. Don't get too close to them though! The park is very big and you can even camp! Too bad I only spent a few hours, if I were to go back again, I'd definitely spend more time.
