Thanks for a wonderful night away Robbie and Christine. Our favourite course was the aubergine ravioli with feta and pine nuts although everything was wonderful. The scrambled eggs at breakfast were divine. Hopefully we won't leave it so long before we're back.

Room tip: Lovely views from all bedrooms. Just depends how far down the hallway you want to walk!

So many friends recommended The Quickenberry Lodge to us that we decided to visit for dinner, bed and breakfast at the end of our year long trip to NZ. It was, by far, the best accommodation and food combination. Greeted with tea and chocolate cake, we had a rest, a pre dinner drink and then a wonderful four course evening meal. All cooked by Robert, our host. Christine was lovely to chat to and after dinner Robert joined us. The lodge was immaculate and our bedroom was very comfortable. Breakfast the next day was equally good and we went home eager to encourage anyone who has not yet visited to do so soon. Robert and Christine are very helpful hosts and the whole visit was a pleasure. Excellent value for money, thank you!

Christine and Robby are amazing hosts. In their most elegant very personal home we were made to feel very welcome. An incredibly picturesque area well worth visiting.
We will be returning and have no hesitation in recommending .

Room tip: As it is very isolated , it is ideal for doing nothing.

Four friends, myself included, spent one week at Quickenberry. We checked everywhere and it is undoubtedly the best accommodation in Canterbury. Close to all the club fields, Mt Hutt and heli skiing. The rooms are spacious, warm and extremely well furnished. The common area is a large living area with fireplace and vaulted ceiling.

The food has been extraordinary, Robert the chef is highly skilled. This has been an amazing experience, period.

Christine looked after us also, they are a marvellous couple. We very highly recommend Quickenberry.

My parents, my brother and our partners had an absolutely incredible stay at Quickenberry Lodge for my parent's 40th wedding anniversary celebration.
The location is perfect; approximately 1h from Christchurch International Airport and 20 mins from the ski town of Methven.
The hosts Christine and Robert made us feel so welcome and were exceptionally attentive at all times.
The rooms are all fabulously comfortable and boast beautiful vistas of farmland and snow capped mountains.
In the evening we enjoyed a 5 course dinner prepared just for us, combining local fresh ingredients to create delicious and inventive dishes.
All in all an immaculate stay - very highly recommended.

Room tip: We had the room at the very end of the corridor which had a beautiful outlook and a bath. All rooms are similar though and gorgeous!
