We chose Lo Scoglio based on other reviews and for its seafront location.
The beach areas around were full of Italian families enjoying the sunshine; the restaurant however was mostly busy with people in smart , not beach, attire.
We only wanted a light meal and ordered accordingly; the food was very enjoyable but we were clearly not attuned to local lunch habits. Whilst the locals were happy to linger we had hoped that by ordering simple dishes we would be out within the hour because of our sightseeing agenda. Instead the arrival of food was slow ; the two of us got served at completely different times ; and even getting the bill required us to leave our table and press at the counter because the waiter just ignored our requests.
It was still an enjoyable meal but took far longer than anticipated or necessary. We must learn to "live local".
